Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our manufacturing team for 2nd shift, in Decatur, IL- 2:00pm- 10:30 pm. The Industrial Maintenance Apprentice will have the opportunity to assist and job shadow senior technicians, improving job skill and industry exposure while performing preventive maintenance on a wide variety of facility and process related equipment, such as industrial electrical systems and lighting, overhead doors, pumps and motors, valves, conveyors, motors, pumps, electrical control systems, automated equipment and piping, etc. Responsibilities: Conducts planned preventive maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance actions (lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.) as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Reviews and submits work order updates to planner scheduler. Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
