Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance on all production equipment and systems (e.g., packaging machines, conveyors, HVAC systems, and control panels).
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in machinery and equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, relays, and PLCs.
Ensure electrical systems are operating within specified voltage, current, and safety parameters.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan.
Maintain an up-to-date record of maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs.
System Upgrades & Modifications:
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing equipment.
Work with the engineering team to improve and modify electrical systems to optimize performance.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all work adheres to industry safety standards, electrical codes, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols when performing maintenance tasks.
Participate in safety training and contribute to a safety-first environment.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve electrical issues that may impact production schedules.
Provide technical support and training to other maintenance staff or production employees as needed.
Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of mechanical and pneumatic issues where electrical systems may be involved.
Documentation & Reporting:
Complete and maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and equipment specifications.
Monitor inventory levels of electrical parts and supplies and communicate needs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical packaging experience a plus).
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits, controls, and PLC systems
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of electrical theory, controls, and industrial automation systems.
Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
Knowledge of industry safety standards, including OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout procedures.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and techniques.
Certifications(Preferred):
Electrical or Industrial Maintenance certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Certified Maintenance Technician).
Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations for the pharmaceutical industry is a plus

Qualifications / Competencies
Electrical Journeyman's Papers are required, with the ability and desire to attain Master Electrician Papers. Key competencies include equipment maintenance, technical understanding, adaptability in uncertain environments, electrical safety knowledge, proficiency with power tools, attention to detail, flexibility, supervision, job knowledge, and productivity.
Physical Demands
While performing job duties, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Your Role:
SUMMARY:
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician is responsible for maintaining, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment failures in a timely and effective manner, and supporting operations with continuous improvement initiatives involving process control systems.
Your Profile:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Diagnose and troubleshoot automatic, digitally controlled equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of plant processes.
Check, calibrate, and maintain plant instrumentation, including critical equipment in the production, utilities and laboratory areas of the site
Work collaboratively with engineers and maintenance leadership to plan and execute systematic preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.
Provide technical assistance to both maintenance and production staff during troubleshooting and repair operations.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Support plant startups, shutdowns, and turnaround activities.
Maintain documentation of all work, including calibration records, maintenance logs, and PM checklists.
Utilize a thorough working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems to effectively diagnose interrelated system faults.
Possess a basic understanding of computer networks and a theoretical understanding of PC environments as they relate to industrial control systems.
Perform on-line and off-line programming across a broad range of PLC platforms and processor-based systems.
Adheres to all applicable EHS and cGMP regulations.
Adheres to personal moral, ethical, legal, & behavioral conduct in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct.
Other maintenance duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with troubleshooting & repairing of mechanical malfunctions in general is a plus.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and process instrumentation.
Preferred experience with DCS and PLC systems.
Preferred knowledge of hazardous area classifications and intrinsic safety.
Familiarity with CMMS.
Preferred certification in industrial electrical and industrial instrumentation.
Must be capable of reading isometric drawings, as well as P&ID/s single line diagrams, and loop sheets.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
High attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, meggers
Must be available for call-outs, shift work, and occasional overtime or weekend work
Must be able to climb stairs and handle parts weighing up to 55 lbs.
Recent experience in new and state-of-the-art instrumentation equipment is a plus.

ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
Journeyman or Master Electrician License
OSHA 30, NFPA 70E training
