This role is highly hands-on, with a strong focus on data analysis and problem-solving. What You're Going to Do: Lead and support process improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting quality or efficiency issues. Coordinate and execute production trials and data collection. Analyze process data and generate actionable insights using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, and Power BI. Recommend and test new chemicals or equipment in collaboration with vendors and production teams. Monitor key operating parameters and identify opportunities for optimization. Work closely with operators, managers, and other engineers to ensure process reliability and innovation. Support digital transformation efforts through data projects and dashboard development. Maintain strong communication across shifts and departments to align on priorities. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management and prioritization. What We Expect from You: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; other degrees in Engineering (Paper Science, Mechanical, or Electrical) also considered. 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing is preferred; entry-level candidates with strong potential will be considered. Prior experience in pulp and paper is a strong plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with Power BI, Minitab, or other data analysis tools is a strong advantage. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
