    Manufacturing Engineering Tech 1 Qualified individual will possess high skill levels in the use of 3D CAD Engineering software and has experience and / or will be required to lean and use CAD Cam Software of various other office machine programming packages. Programmer is required to develop a detailed set-up sheet and instructions for production of the components or units to accompany each program they produce. Qualified individual must possess and maintain a high level of understanding in electronic file organization, security, and maintenance. Will have primary responsibility for programming all Work Centers (flat laser, tube laser, bender, and end mill) utilized in the creation of components and work sub-assemblies in machining and FAB departments. Will have primary responsibility for programming and fixture development utilized in the creation of sub-assemblies in Welding department. Required to read and correctly interpret simple and complex engineering drawings for work tool components and sub-assemblies. Coordinate with Production Planner to prioritize operations ensuring maximum performance and minimum delay. Responsible for monitoring schedule / dispatch list to ensure programs are complete and ready to execute based on order promise date. Responsibility for identifying all manufacturing challenges associated with creating and maintaining components or sub-assemblies. Responsibility for ensuring that all components have a single secure proven program and that all files are always backed up. Responsibility for advising and mentoring operators in the proper use of each program as well as primary responsibility for ensuring that user does not permanently modify each program once it has been tested and verified. Position is responsible for building a strong positive working team environment between the programmers and the operators. Qualified individual will support shop requirements for development and testing of new tooling and drive adherence to tool life management. Required Qualifications: Must possess proficient machine skills and understand beginner to expert operation and programming functions. Good interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills Strong math skills. Ability to work safely and wear all required personal protective equipment. Ability to work well individually and in a team environment. Requires extensive knowledge and understanding of machine programming and corresponding operational functions. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 1 year of related experience or 5 + years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Ability to perform repetitive operations. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
