This role will work in a team environment with R&D, Quality, Facilities, Manufacturing Engineers, Operations Supervisors, and technicians. FLSA: Non-exempt Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the performance of equipment related tests and studies. Analyze test data and produce detailed test reports with conclusions and recommendations. Present test findings to management in a professional and concise manner. Under direction of the senior engineer, make CAD design models and detail prints using SOLIDWORKS. Create and update control plans, work instructions, reference documents, and visual aids at the direction of department Senior Engineer. Engage in business processes and workplace continuous improvement activities. Participate in and sustains 5S Standards. Must follow all required ISO procedures, comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements, and adhere to SIG SAUER, Inc. security mandates. Follow all range safety procedures when in any of the range areas. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Education/Experience & Skills: Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Advanced coursework in thermodynamics, fluids, materials, mechanisms, CAD, or similar fields preferred. Prior CO-OP, internship, or design project work preferred. Must have basic proficiency in report creation. Must have basic proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word. Must have basic proficiency using CAD software to create parametric solid models and engineering drawings (SOLIDWORKS highly preferred). Knowledge of hunting, shooting sports, firearms, or ammunition reloading preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Working Conditions: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks. Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required. Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
