Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. wire draw, strip rolling, stamping , machining, plastic injection molding).
Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory compliance, especially in medical and automotive sectors.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in materials science (metallurgy), mechanical engineering or IndustrialEngineering.

* Provide effective engineering support to the Supply Chain & Manufacturing on producing products, assemblies and / or parts for LECTRA industrial equipment.
* Participate / employ LEAN manufacturing techniques throughout the Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations.
* Create / maintain technical documentation (Processes, Work Instructions, Visual Aids, etc.) including detailed drawings and GD&T, assembly drawings.
* Provide technical assistance on New Product Development (NPD), new product manufacturing readiness, New Product Launch (NPL), cost reductions, product structure & BOM updates, source changes, LECTRA asset management Internal and at supplier sites, process improvements and quality improvement initiatives.
* Participate in techniques such as Design for Manufacturability & Assembly, Design for Testability, Failure Reliability, Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (FMEA), Process Failure Mode Effects and Analysis (PFMEA) to assure reliability and quality of design parts and systems.
* Initiate and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Material Variance Authorizations (MVAs), including all ERP system (SAP) requirements.
* Report regularly to management on key tasks, responsibilities and KPIs to communicate all findings, progress, actions, risk areas, and areas where assistance may be needed.
* Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external customers to provide effective Manufacturing Engineering Support.
* Travel domestically and / or internationally, as required.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, IndustrialEngineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
* Working knowledge of mechanical design or manufacturing processes, including, but not limited to: assembly, fabrication, machining, , extrusions, castings, test, inspection and LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing techniques.
* Working knowledge of GD&T.

POSITION SUMMARY
Applying engineering and chemistry techniques in the improvement of quality and manufacturing processes and products and in the transition of new products and processes from R&D to production.
