+ Integrated team members supporting operations leadership teams to ensure that capital projects and infrastructure are deployed, coordinated, managed, and maintained to drive building performance expectations. This role also manages and executes small construction projects independent of Corporate Real Estate / Construction including all cage and vault construction resulting from expansion or relocation needs.

An Electrical Distribution Wildfire Mitigation Engineer at HBK Engineering is a position that combines day-to-day management and development of direct report team members with delivery and execution of project work. This entry-level role involves providing contract engineering resources to a local electric and gas utility in Butte, Montana. The position will support the company's wildfire mitigation efforts by analyzing and improving critical overhead power distribution lines identified as high risk for wildfires. The person in this position will first conduct field surveying in various rural and urban locations throughout Butte, Montana, which includes hiking in adverse terrains. Once field surveying is complete, data will be used to build a pole loading and clearance model on the computer. They will suggest fixes and put together a construction package including drawings, plans, and materials, and then manage the work during construction
What You'll Do
Design engineering systems in compliance with relevant specifications, codes, and client requirements for overhead and subsurface utility projects.
Deploy creative and unique solutions to address a wide variety of complex electrical, structural, civil, and construction-related challenges.
Own all phases of the design lifecycle from initiation through construction completion and project closeout.
Prepare detailed engineering and construction documents using a variety of software tools including DDS (Distribution Design Studio), GIS systems, Trimble surveying equipment, and client-specific enterprise asset management platforms.
Analyze information from supplementary data sources including topographical survey, utility atlas information, field sketches, client records, manufacturer equipment datasheets, etc.
Independently manage time and schedule to achieve project milestones.
Perform field walkdowns with internal staff, clients, customers, governance authorities, and construction partners.
Obtain proper permits and easements as required.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Process Improvement Specialist & Lead Quality Auditor to spearhead strategic quality and efficiency initiatives across the organization.
This role is responsible for leading cross-functional process optimization projects, conducting internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality management systems, with certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) such as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and/or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
Essential Functions / Responsibility:
Lead complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Design, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and cost reduction.
Plan and execute internal, supplier, and compliance audits in accordance with ISO 9000, and other applicable standards.
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations; track and verify corrective action implementation.
Serve as a subject matter expert in quality systems, process mapping, root cause analysis, and risk management.
Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, and training workshops for employees at all levels.
Collaborate with leadership to identify strategic opportunities for business process reengineering.
Ensure alignment of process improvements with organizational goals, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with quality management system requirements.
Mentor and coach junior staff in quality tools, auditing, and continuous improvement strategies.

Exposure to varying noise levels from moderate in the office to loud on the production floor; safety hearing devices provided as needed.
Possible exposure to household and commercial chemicals with adherence to safety protocols outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) required. Safety glasses and closed-toed shoes are mandatory when on the production floor.
Regular interaction with team members, guests, and clients in a professional setting. Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.
Use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators or protective coveralls may be necessary for specific tasks on the production floor.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Quality Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or operational excellence roles.
Proven success leading Lean Six Sigma projects with measurable results.
Strong knowledge of ISO, or other relevant regulatory standards.
Experience with ERP, QMS, or data analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Minitab, Tableau).
