The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for generating innovative and practical solutions to improve quality, safety and productivity of the manufacturing process. The primary objective of this role is to support the company's on time delivery through continuous improvements to parts and processes in production. This individual will manage projects including process improvements, alternative manufacturing methods, process automation and production tooling design with a focus on hand assembly, finishing and CNC processes. S/he will support projects for new equipment installation, new process development and quality initiatives. Extensive coordination with all other functions of Royal (e.g. Quality, Program Managers, Project Engineers, etc.) will be required in this role. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years experience working with manufacturing processes relating to hand assembly, finishing, and CNC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support of existing parts and programs in production Review and participate in Material Review Board processes for nonconforming materials. Work with machine shops to repair/replace production tooling Design and improve manufacturing processes Understand the production and supply chain strategies in use by Royal and their impact on production flow and plant layout.
