Position Summary:
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for conducting reliability studies of existing products and coordinating new product qualification prior to market release. Job Function:
Participate in the product development meetings and guide the team to develop reliable products that meet internal specifications and customer requirements.
Develop qualification plans for new products, primarily MMICs but also support other product lines including but not limited to Low Temperature Co‑Fired Ceramics, PCBA products, RF accessories and Core & Wire Products.
Analyze new products for similarity with existing released products in terms of package, die process and design to determine Qualification by Similarity, thus streamlining qualification testing.
Design and execute both device level and package level qualification tests including but not limited to MSL pre‑conditioning, Thermal cycling, UHAST, HTSL, ESD and Life Tests.
Define ESD Human Body Model (HBM) and Charged Device Model (CDM) tests as per JEDEC standards.
Collaborate with Engineering Test Teams to execute Accelerate Life Tests, High Temperature Operating Life Test.
Execute Mechanical stresses such as Vibration, Mechanical Shock, Constant Acceleration & Bend Testing.
Co‑ordinate with external labs for outsourced tests.
Review RF Test data before and after stresses to analyze changes in performance.
Collaborate with Failure Analysis teams to understand the root cause of failures.
Identify and record any non‑conformities. Monitor solution implementations to verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
Ensure On‑Time Completion of Qualification activities and escalator any potential delays.
Present Qualification results with all relevant stakeholders to help Design teams initiate changes to improve reliability performance.
Prepare written reports summarizing the results of product performance and failure analysis for both internal purposes as well as customer review.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with common industry standards including JEDEC, MIL‑STD‑883, MIL‑STD‑202 and AEC‑Q.
Experience with Reliability Qualification by Similarity.
Experience with Environmental, Mechanical and ESD stresses.
Experience with problem solving methodologies and leading root cause analysis.
Experience with customer returns failure analysis support.
Must have familiarity with failure analysis techniques including Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SEM), Radiographic Inspection (X‑Ray), Cross‑Section methods.
Familiarity with MTTF, MTBF Calculations.
Experience with Reliability prediction modeling and tools like Weibull++ (or equivalent reliability software)

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manufacturing Engineering
Conduct analysis of transactional times and propose improvements for the flow of inbound/outbound Materials, utilizing time studies, value stream mapping and other tools (ie Spaghetti Diagrams)
Learn Lean practices (ie 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban....) in operational and material flows and how to apply them to the Minnesota Operations Center
Learn 8 step problem solving methodology and implement at least one project during Coop assignment
Work with assembly leads and Manufacturing Engineers to redesign assembly work cells by using the listed tools above and applying to fixture and layout installation to increase assembly cell productivity and efficiency
Gain exposure to Bill of Material structure, routings and build spec sheets and how they interrelate for daily activities and how product development gets introduced, through assembly design to normal day to day activities
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to trouble shoot issue from daily builds to understand and redesign to have a more efficient process of building finished goods
General

Overview:
We are looking to fulfill our need for a Manufacturing Engineer at our Teterboro, NJ facility. This role will be responsible for assisting our production staff with product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials as well as assisting with scheduling, planning and forecasting. This individual will be accountable for assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned):
Familiar with work orders, shop drawings, pick tickets, routings, schedules, material labels, part drawings and inspection data records.
Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities for aluminum, plastics, gaskets, glazing and other materials associated with the business
Assist in the design and development of new products
Generate a bill of materials (BOM) for the Purchasing and Production departments.
Offer suggestions for changes to documentation, specifications, and/or anything related with the BOM, orders and confirmations
Participate in group discussions and meetings with management
Provide assistance in resolving manufacturing challenges
Enter and maintain operational data such as part numbers, batches, sizes and revision levels in NAS's systems.
Responsible for developing production documents, managing revisions and communicating changes across various formats and departments.
Assist in maintaining folders and records related to order confirmations, material allocation and order production with the factory.
Ensure all orders are completed in production, according to all quality and technical specifications.
Provide clerical input as required for monthly reporting and scheduling and assist in quarterly forecasting.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering degree
Mechanical engineering knowledge a plus
1+ years' experience as a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer or similar position
Must have basic knowledge of AutoCAD
Able to read fabrication drawings and knowledgeable in basic measurement methods
Familiarity with manufacturing operations
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Able to work under pressure
Ability to plan and prioritize activities
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, displaying strong written and oral communications
Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office
