Job Overview:

Qualifications:

* Troubleshoot communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols.
* Setup and operate legacy headend equipment including but not limited to signal processors, modulators, demodulators, IRD's and IRT's
* Responsible to analog and digital channel level measurement and quality testing along with periodically testing of equipment and quality of signal throughout the network.
* Install, maintain, and perform testing and required documentation of emergency alert systems.
* Implement and properly document with guidance all required Charter Engineering and FCC mandated PoP testing.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
Superconducting Magnet Design and Analysis:
Actively engage in the design and analysis phases of High Rigidity Spectrometer (HRS) magnet development
Contribute to next-generation High-Temperature Superconducting (HTS) hot-cell dipole magnet and high-power ECR magnet development.
Conduct thorough quench analyses and devise robust quench protection schemes, prioritizing the safety and optimal functioning of superconducting magnets.
Participate actively in the mechanical design aspects, ensuring the integration of key engineering subcomponents for enhanced performance and durability.
Superconducting Magnet Fabrication and Test:
Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in superconducting magnets, providing technical guidance and support throughout the coil winding, construction, assembly, and instrumentation process.
Contribute hands-on expertise in coil development, including splicing, checking fiberglass prep regs, and validating cyanate ester/epoxy-based adhesive systems.
Perform energization test, magnetic field measurement test, passive/active quench protection circuit test, cold mass alignment and thus data analysis and documentation.
Develop comprehensive work control plans, general test procedures, and job safety plans for various activities, including pressure/leak tests, cryogenic cooling tests, energization tests, and mapping activities.
FRIB Operational Support and Troubleshooting:

Technical Specifications and Procurement Oversight:
