    Location: Columbus, OH Employment Type: 2nd Shift, Full-time, temp-to-hire Job Brief Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Fabricator for our client. This position operates a variety of machinery and tools within a fire protection fabrication shop to process pipe and related materials. Responsibilities include using equipment such as cold saws, groovers, threaders, grinders, and pneumatic banders, moving pipe along the production line, and operating forklifts as needed.What's a Typical Day Like? This position performs various duties within a fire protection fabrication shop using a variety of machinery / tools. Additional responsibilities may include operating an auto welding machina (similar to a CNC machine) Operate machine tools: Cold saw, Groover, Threader, Grinder and Pneumatic bander Handle movement of pipe along the production line Use forklift as needed to move product Completes training curriculum including but not limited to safety requirements while demonstrating an acceptable level of competence as defined by management Follow all company policies and procedures What Are the Requirements of the Job? 18 years old Basic arithmetic skills required using whole numbers and decimals with the ability to read a tape measure in “increments” Previous welding experience is helpful, not required Metal working experience preferred, not required Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs. Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel. Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
