The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an Asbestos Inspector/Industrial Hygienist. The Asbestos Inspector/Industrial Hygienist is responsible for assisting in asbestos activities by scheduling, coordinating, and inspecting the work of contractors and/or any other authorized persons involved in the removal, encapsulation or air monitoring of asbestos-containing materials. Work involves responsibility for ensuring that all asbestos project work is done in compliance and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations and safety procedures. Serves as contact person to be notified in the event of suspect asbestos containing material and/or damaged material.
+ Serves as the asbestos project manager by performing the following tasks relating to repair of asbestos damage: Establishing work priorities; scheduling, assigning and coordinating all project work and activities; Selecting and issuing proper documentation for abatement construction, encapsulation, and air monitoring.
