The Journeyman Industrial Electrician must have a current and active Journeyman Electrician License issued from the State of Utah. A valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered as proof of experience, but a Utah journeyman license must be obtained within 30 days of employment. electrical construction experience is required. Major Duties:
- Plan/Install new or modified electrical installations in manufacturing, wastewater, and mining facilities, including installation of Motor Control Centers, pumps, conveyors, controls, instrumentation, and main distribution electrical systems.
- Installations must be consistent with specifications and local building and electrical codes. Have the ability to follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Using proper electrical tools, the candidate must be proficient in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembly, and electrical raceways.
- Perform various electrical testing such as meggering, hi-pot, grounding, continuity, amperage, ohm, and voltage measurements of electrical circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
- Perform troubleshooting procedures by observing the functionality of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Perform “lock out-tag out” procedures enabling the ability to safely repair faulty electrical equipment or systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
