DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES High school diploma or certified equivalent Minimum of two years working in a manufacturing environment Industrial painting experience preferred, including familiarity with various paint types, techniques, application methods, and color matching Experience preparing parts for painting, including sanding, grinding, cleaning, and masking, etc. Must be able to pass the respirator fit test Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to read and understand prints, use logic, and troubleshoot problems Teamwork approach with excellent communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills Experience of operating equipment such as pneumatic and electric drill motor, pneumatic and electric grinder/sander, saber saw, band saw, electric tapper, steam cleaner, radial drill press, post drill, portable hand-operated hydraulic punch, hand and spray-painting equipment, paintbrushes, respirator masks, and paint suits Experience operating various manufacturing equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists WORKING CONDITIONS AND WORK HOURS Daily minimum of 8 hours. Weekly 40 hour minimum. Overtime as required, subject to production schedules and may vary based upon specific department and customer needs. This position generally operates in the manufacturing areas of the facility.
