    : NDT Technician Position Overview: The NDT Technician is responsible for the inspection of materials, structures, and assets by using non-destructive testing techniques to examine structures for flaws and structural weaknesses. This role involves comprehensive assessments, documentation, and reporting of findings to maintain the reliability and safety of utility pole networks. Key Responsibilities: Inspection Protocol: Execute detailed inspections of structures and utility poles based on established safety guidelines, industry standards, and company protocols. Structural Assessment: Evaluate the structural integrity, examining for signs of Corrosion, cracks, flaws, and other imperfections, calibration of equipment, and interpret results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, identifying potential hazards and recommending necessary actions for repair or replacement. Reporting: Accurately record inspection information into data collection application including taking pictures and attaching required information while outlining inspection results, highlighting critical issues, and providing recommendations for corrective measures. Collaboration: Liaise with relevant stakeholders to communicate inspection outcomes and support the implementation of recommended actions. Continuous Improvement: Contribute insights for the enhancement of inspection procedures, tools, or methodologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications and Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or experience in a related field preferred. Minimum of one year experience with NDT, utility maintenance, or a relevant field preferred. Knowledge: Proficient understanding of utility poles and materials, corrosion, cracks, flaws, and safety standards. Certifications: NDT Level 2 UT, NDT Level 2 MT and NDT Level 2 PT Preferred additional certifications: NDT Level 2 UT Shear Wave CWI Certification preferred Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills. Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment. Strong written and verbal communication skills for report generation and collaboration. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Capable of performing fieldwork, utilizing NDT equipment. Ability to travel a minimum of 75%. Physical Requirements: Manual Dexterity: Fine motor skills are needed to handle tools and equipment accurately. Good Vision: Excellent vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception to inspect and interpret visual indicators of flaws. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, often in challenging environments. Strength and Mobility: Physical strength to lift and move equipment and materials, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds. Agility to access confined spaces, heights, or awkward positions during inspections. Coordination: Good hand-eye coordination to operate testing equipment effectively. Environmental Tolerance: Capacity to work in various environments, including outdoors, at heights, or in noisy, dusty, or hazardous conditions. Mental Requirements: Attention to Detail: NDT technicians must have a keen eye for detail to detect subtle flaws and inconsistencies in materials and structures. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze test results and interpret data accurately is crucial for making informed decisions about the integrity of materials. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using various NDT methods (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant) and understanding the principles behind them. Problem-Solving Abilities: Skills in diagnosing issues, determining the root cause of defects, and proposing solutions. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication to report findings clearly to clients, engineers, and other stakeholders. Mathematical Skills: Basic to advanced understanding of math for calculations related to measurements and data analysis.     Industrial Painter/Industrial Coater First shift$20-$23/hr Primary Purpose of the Job: This position prepares steel surfaces for Plastisol lining and spray painting of corrosion test chambers and related equipment. The chambers are coated with Plastisol lining material and the coating is “cured” utilizing an industrial oven. Once coated, primer and paint are applied utilizing a paint spray gun in a spray booth. The position involves a great deal of forklift maneuvering. It also requires respirator usage for certain tasks. Essential Duties: 1. Review and analyze orders for accuracy/applicability. 2. Inspect sandblasted steel structures for dents or areas that need additional prep; Repair or prep accordingly. 3. Apply primer to prepare parts and structure for plastisol coating. 4. Operate a forklift to hold/manipulate structure(s); apply plastisol to steel structures; and adhere plastisol to structure using an industrial oven to “bake” coating. 5. Ensure complete, seamless and even plastisol coating of all structures and parts; all interior chamber shell sides, as well as chamber edges and trough. 6. Inspect coated steel structures for dents or areas that need additional prep; Repair or prep accordingly. 7. Grind steel surfaces using hand-held grinders and tools to prepare surfaces for paint. 8. Mix paint and hardeners properly and apply primer and paint coats utilizing a paint spray gun. 9. Observe health safety by wearing prescribed protective masks and/or breathing apparatus during processes. Other Duties: 10. Perform routine machine, equipment, and facility maintenance. 11. Keep all work areas clean and organized. 12. Document time and material for parts and equipment. 13. Follow all safety policies. 14. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Required Skills/Experience: ? Experience with performing autobody work, metal surface prep, spray booth painting, paint guns, and/or working with an industrial oven, a plus. ? Ability to learn job-related material through oral instruction and observation. ? Ability to safely operate forklift. ? Ability to accurately read measuring instruments (i.e. rulers, tapes, gauges, etc.) ? Strong mechanical background and the ability to use basic hand and/or power tools. ? Ability to trouble-shoot: determine what is causing an operating error and decide what to do about it. ? Strong work ethic - ability to report on time for all scheduled workdays/shifts. Inspect and repair surfaces to identify any damage or imperfections that need to be addressed before painting. Read and understand blueprints, quality documents, and other specifications or customer requirements. Wash and clean all surfaces to remove dirt, grease, or other contaminants. Mask and prepare buildings, parts, and skids. Identify characteristics of surfaces to be coated and ensure proper preparation and application of coating. Mix and match paint colors, and other finishes according to specifications. Prepare paint materials and equipment used for a variety of applications. Apply various coatings including epoxy, enamel, and urethane paints, as well as spray foam insulation to a variety of surfaces using high volume, low pressure airless, and conventional paint equipment. Monitor and check quality to ensure coating is applied evenly and according to specifications to reduce re-work. Clean up and maintain all paint equipment and paint booth areas. Operate a variety of power and hand tools and equipment, including applicators, and pressure washing equipment. Read, understand, and follow all MSDS information for products being used in paint area Maintain painting equipment such as hoses, pumps, pressure tanks, spray guns, paint booth, etc. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as indicated by the assignment. This may include head socks, respirators, protective disposable suits, face shields, gloves, and others as necessary. Safely dispose of any chemicals or paints used in the paint process, and safely store all chemicals according to regulations including OSHA, EPA, and other local jurisdiction requirements.
