If you're an experienced Machine Operator who has a knack for measurements and wants to learn Industrial Sewing, you've come to the right place! The Advance Group has partnered with a Toledo, OH facility in need of 1st shift Industrial Tarp Sewing employees. Responsibilities for the Industrial Tarp Sewing Positions: Measure, cut, assemble, repair, stencil, and sew large tarps for semi-trailers Operates various equipment including industrial sewing machines, grommet machine, heat sealer, heat gun, and pallet jacks Performs measurements utilizing a ruler and adds or subtracts fractions Move materials from the ground to tables which will involve bending, kneeling, and crawling on the ground while performing measurements Utilizes hand tools Inspects products for quality Reads and interprets written instructions and work orders Lifts and drags materials weighing up to 75lbs Maintain a clean and safe work environment Compensation for the Industrial Tarp Sewing Positions: $17/hr Hours for the Industrial Tarp Sewing Positions: Monday-Friday 5:30am-2pm, must be available to stay until 3-4pm as needed Some overtime on Saturday may be required Requirements for Industrial Tarp Sewing Position: Knowledge and expertise with a variety of hand tools Must have experience using a variety of manual machinery Good math skills and ability to read a ruler, will add and subtract fractions Good hand-eye coordination Ability to stand, bend, and twist for long hours Comfortable moving from a kneeling/crawling position to standing on a regular basis Ability to lift and drag 75lbs repeatedly Must be able to work at a fast pace and perform repetitive duties Previous general labor or construction experience preferred High regard for safety Previous industrial sewing experience is a plus High School Diploma or GED Apply today!
