Elevate industrial worker job description
Elevate Workforce is looking for up to 20 TRAVELING Entry Level Industrial Laborers! Applicants will be required to take a 3 day course prior to starting their position.
MUST!
- Have previous industrial experience
- Have a TWIC card
- Be able to pass a hair follicle drug test
- Be able to pass a background check
- Have a valid ID that does not expire in the next 6 months
Pay: $14-$15/hr
Type: 3-5 months TRAVELING
Transportation and lodging will be provided
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Technicians are required to complete the Qualifying Program before starting work. Level 1 Technicians are required to pass the course with a score of 70% or better.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the implementation of worksite protection, by means of barricades, warning signs or cones.
- Assists in identifying all electrical equipment along with anything else that could be damaged from pressurized water.
- Confirms that all fitting and hoses have the correct pressure rating and are in good condition.
- Confirms that all nozzles are unplugged and in good operating condition.
- Applies appropriate anti-withdraw device and technique during line moleing operations
- Wears all required PPE correctly and takes action to replace PPE when it becomes damaged.
- Assists in flushing all hydro-blast components.
- Assists in verifying that all shotguns, foot pedals and or other control devices are operational and safe.
- Positions hoses in a neat and orderly manner to eliminate tripping hazards and damage to hose.
- Evaluate and maintain safe working platform.
- Takes action to remove any unauthorized personnel who enters a danger area.
- Confirms that any personnel entering the barricade area shall wear the required equipment.
- Identify and reports any leaks or malfunctioning equipment.
- Shall stop work: If a leak occurs, or equipment is damaged or malfunctions, if there is a change in conditions, or any new hazard is introduced.
- Cooperates with Team Leader and customers in carrying out assigned work.
- Reviews JSA and provides input on identifying hazards and controls.
- Follows all safe work habits in accordance with Company rules, OSHA regulations and customer requirements.
- Immediately reports and corrects any unsafe conditions.
- Communicates regularly with site supervision on progression of job and any complications that occur.
- Maintain a safe distance from other hydro-blasters (Minimum of 25’)
- Secures hydroblast gun until unit is shut down.
- Assist in the setup of vacuum operations.
- Occasionally responsible for manning Safety-T during vacuum operations.
- Performing vacuum operations using flex hose and hard pipe.
- Assists in securing connections between vacuum truck flex hose and hard pipe.
- Occasionally use shovels and pick to assist in operations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
- The TECH 1 must be trained for the type of hydroblasting operations to be conducted.
- The TECH 1 must be able to hold and control a 10,000-psi shotgun at pressure.
- Must be trained in all applicable areas where hydroblasting is performed (Confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection, etc.)
EQUIPMENT:
- Hydroblasters (4,000-10,000-20,000 up to 40,000)
- Vacuum Trucks (wet, dry and combo)
- Hydroblast hose (4,000-10,000-20,000 up to 40,000) with burst rating of 1.5 times of the intended working pressure.
- Vacuum components: flex hose, hard pipe, safety-T’s, duct tape, etc.
- Various hydroblasting components (Shot guns, lances-flex and rigid, mole lines anti-withdraw devices, UHP air hoses/ tumble box, foot pedals, hose shrouds, whip checks)
- Hydroblast PPE (wet suit, metatarsal foot protection, face shield, rubber gloves, full body hydro blast protection (Ultra-high/Turtle Suits).
- Various respiratory equipment
- Various type of Aerial Platforms and Man Lifts
- Common hand tools, common power tools
- Ladders and ropes, tarps
- Barrel/fuel pump
- Generator, Pressure Washers
- Personal protective equipment, including the following, but not limited to: Hard hat, safety glasses, full metatarsal rubber boots, safety harness, leather gloves, fire resistant coveralls, chemical resistant gloves, respirators, ear plugs, goggles, etc.
