ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Title: Certified Medication Aide Department: Medical FLSA Status: Non-Exempt The Certified Medication Aide must accurately prepare, administer, document medications as prescribed and observe resident for reaction or side effects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accurately prepare, administer and document medications as prescribed.
Accurately take and record vital signs
Accurately count and sign medication administration record for controlled drugs.
Observe all client and report anything unusual or abnormal to nurse on shift.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with facility absence policies.
Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
Use appropriate work place behavior and adhere to dress code at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager
Provide support to Operations, and perform other duties needed by RCA Manager when not performing vitals or distributing medications
Observe for and immediately notify nurse on shift any noted reactions or side effects of medications.
