In 2001, i started my career as an applications specialist for a PACS company. Basically my job was \'learn this medical imaging software inside and out, and then show doctors and other clinical folks how to use it.\'

I was roped in immediately. The software was not only somewhat revolutionary in the industry at its time, but it was also really well developed- it was fun showing the modern era of medicine digitized to genius diagnosticians, in some way improving their quality of life as they save real lives.

Since 2001, I have taken on many different roles and responsibilities for my company. I traveled the country for many years, playing an integral role in each of our implementations. Initially as a clinical applications specialist, then as a technical support representative, then a senior implementations support representative, and then finally as a project manager- overseeing the entire system implementation from contract signature through system go live.

I was infatuated with the industry as well as the software. I wanted to fully understand it from every possible angle. I wanted to be able to play any role my company needed me to play on any given day to help the company grow. The ability to be at one site demonstrating/selling the software one day, at another site working with a team of radiologists training them the next day, all the while taking tech support calls and managing new installs when i could sneak away to join a call excited and empowered me.

Fast forward to current times. We have expanded well outside of radiology, and have ground breaking solutions for any department generating images- including cardiology, dentistry, ophthalmology, pathology, etc. My role of Chief Product Officer puts me in an exciting position to sit directly between some of the brightest minds in medicine and an extensive team of software developers, creating software solutions to make true change.
