The IT Azure Engineer is primarily responsible for problem-solving, innovating, maintaining infrastructure hardware and services, managing staff support tickets, and engaging volunteers.

The Life.Church Information Technology Team leads behind the scenes to equip Life.Church with server, services, and software resources to fulfill our mission and connect even more people to Jesus. We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the SaaS, virtual infrastructure, and data storage of our church. Who you are:Confident in at least three of the following technologies/skillsets: Azure services, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, enterprise storage, scripting in PowerShell or PythonPassionate about building reliable computing environmentsA self-motivated leader with the ability to work with a team and problem solve with innovation Able to explain complicated technical scenarios in standard terms and across a broad audience while fostering partnerships Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change

What you'll do:Research and implement best practices derived from industry experiences and standards Manage identity and access management solutions for the cloud infrastructure Select and manage best-of-breed software solutions Lead a team of volunteers by delegating tasks, collaborating on projects, and monitoring completion Manage incoming incidents by responding or delegating through an on-call rotation Develop and maintain documentation for team process and infrastructure configuration

Job Description

This person must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and 100% client-focused, with a continuing passion for your profession.Responsibilities:

+ Oversee and execute the deployment of production web applications

+ Development automation processes to streamline deploys of application updates and releases.

+ Configure, perform and respond to application monitoring of applications under area of responsibility

+ Work collaboratively with team to identify and manage ongoing incidents

+ Troubleshoot and connect with appropriate teams in order to effectively triage issue impacting production

+ Create necessary service tickets and ensure tickets are routed to the appropriate technical teams

+ Participate in rotation to provide weekend support for various activities included patching, release deployments, security updates, and 3rd party updates

+ Keep up with info alerts, patching alerts and delivery partners activities

+ Partner with appropriate stakeholders to plan for and create deployment schedules for production web application releases.

+ Work closely with testing and development teams to preparing for application updates, release readiness and other activities

Qualifications:• Strong background in software engineering• Strong knowledge of server technology• Strong problem solving and prioritizing skills• Experience in Microsoft application technologies (IIS, Application services and MS SQL)• Experienced in deployment automation technologies• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams

Education:• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

WHAT YOU'LL DO:Tackle problems on the boundary of software, hardware, and the real world.Scale our endpoint management tools, network and AV infrastructure, on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, helpdesk request handling, identity and access management, and overall IT processes.Own build-outs and IT needs for our growing list of Forward clinics across the country.Own monitoring and maintenance for critical IT infrastructure, including equipment, access, license management, upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting.Team up with our Security team to raise the bar on our IT security posture.Collaborate with top-tier leaders from places like Google, Amazon, Uber, and Airbnb to determine how IT can help solve our biggest technical issues.Your work will directly contribute to products and services that save and improve people's lives.
