THE POSITION
The IT Technician at VFXnow is responsible for maintaining the hardware pipeline, from inventory to order management and preparing/testing gear for deployment in a fast-paced environment. REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience working within the Media & Entertainment industry, rental company, or otherwise in roles with IT support/engineering responsibilities.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with computers, consumer/enterprise storage solutions or networking equipment. Includes the understanding and knowledge of operating systems (Windows/mac OS, Linux is a plus), basic networking (IP, 1G/10G, etc.), and storage such as, HDD/SSD, NVMe, RAID, cluster, etc.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, kneeling, or maneuvering in confined spaces
Proficiency in Windows Server 2019, Windows 11, and Linux operating systems
Strong understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and common business applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical procedures clearly
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

2+ years of database, network administration, or system administration experience

About The Role
