Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs software issues; consults with users and tier one through three support to solve technical questions; provides assistance to all City departments with various hardware and software components including purchasing assistance. Documents and records services performed via helpdesk software; prepares summaries and written reports for supervisors; maintains accurate records of hardware and software inventory and software licenses to adhere to licensing and retention policies. Attends user groups, training and interface committees; transports equipment as needed. Provides training, direction and support to level one Desktop Support Technician as needed. Completes and ensures integrity of server operating software and data backups.
