Assist in evaluating new tools and technologies for mobile communications and systems. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's end users regarding pertinent IT activities. Provide application and technical leadership in the development of detailed system specifications for major business/infrastructure and/or development, integration and problem identification and implementation projects. Apply systems solutions to business/technical problems through customer interactions, and by aiding less experienced analysts in the design, programming, debugging, testing, and integration/implementation of complex, medium to large-sized automated information technology systems or infrastructure component implementation projects. Customers may include internal caterpillar organizations (service centers and/or worldwide business units), suppliers, dealers, and/or end users of caterpillar equipment. Responsible for long functional lines with individuals assigned development projects, and/or maintenance, of existing mainframe, personal computer, server, local area and wide area network, web, and/or distributed computing systems and infrastructure. Work independently on maintenance of in-place programs, systems, and/or infrastructure components as well as on detailed specifications related to complex development, integration, and installation projects. Work directly on complex application/technical resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls. Develop major system modules, programs or integrate infrastructure components based on requirements gathered from customers. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results. Fully knowledgeable of current programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems and cross platform infrastructure components. Provide training on these topics for others. Perform implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions. Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts. Integrate processes across functional organizations. REQS: This position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related field and four (4) years of experience as a Computer Analyst, Developer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) XSLT, Python, JavaScript; (2) Infor ION programing and architecture; (3) ActiveMQ and Camel (JMS); (4) Postman SOAP API; and (5) Dynatrace Server Monitoring. Summary Pay Range: $177,154-$180,449 Compensation and benefits may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market, location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
