Information Technology Analyst job description

As an IT Operations Analyst on our team, you will provide our IT Computer Services Department with a high level of technical support in the management and operation of our computing environment through the effective use of standard monitoring tools, processes and procedures needed to achieve highly available computer services in CVS's Mainframe, Midrange, Distributed/Server, Network and Intranet/Internet WEB environments. You will assist with Infrastructure Crisis/Problem Management, and we'll look for your technical knowledge to effectively interact with all AIS Engineering organizations to ensure CVS's computing environment is highly available to support CVS's Business objectives, our members, providers, and plan sponsors.• This is a Night Shift opportunity the schedule is: 6:00pm - 6:00am EST, working 3 days a week having 4 days off and then switching to working 4 days a week and having 3 days off.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 19.50

Maximum: 38.99

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

1+ years in an IT role, providing support to business processes.1+ years of experience with Enterprise monitoring tools.Omnibus, App dynamics, Rumba.

Education

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

The Operational Risk Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:

Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks. Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices. Provides governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example. Executes the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program in a timely manner. Plans, tests and reports on Operational Risk findings Tests and monitors key controls which have been identified for each product line and document results. Liases with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps. Ensures appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified. Documents, implements and executes Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for management of control issues Additional duties as assigned Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Work you'll do

This candidate plays a key role in ensuring a major IT program of record maintains it's Authority to Operate (ATO) by performing the following tasks:

1) Collaborates with the Infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure their technical roadmaps are understood by the Cyber-ATO team.

2) Monitors for "end of life" hardware and software notices, informs the Infrastructure and DevOps teams, and updates technical roadmaps.

3) Maintains the program's records in the Department of the Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS) .

4) Assists the program to track their Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

5) Conducts research and present recommendations as to possible additions/changes to the program's technical roadmaps.

Candidates will be expected to work with clients to learn their business and become a significant part of bringing new ideas, energy, and insight to improve operations. This role will have daily end-client interaction and become part of a larger team continually re-shaping the technology for a large Navy client.
