Job Description: VDOT's Central Office Maintenance Division requires advanced GIS support for one of their Programs. Candidate must be able to take direction from the Program Manager to both create and manage the creation of GIS maps, map attributes, and associated mapping reports in support of their application. This will include the ability to use and direct the use of ArcGIS in the performance of these duties. Candidate must be able to use data submitted in Excel spreadsheets, databases, or other similar systems to create GIS maps and populate associated fields as per requirements. Candidate must be able to receive requests from VDOT field users and provide expert advice and support regarding all GIS mapping to/from their systems.
