• Understanding of retail technology operations, with a focus on supporting business needs around selling systems, Relate, inventory systems, Field Services and other in-store systems
• Experience working with business partners and end users to develop business requirements to support the execution of business processes
• Ability to turn business requirements into a design, and build a plan to execute that design, working with internal and external software development resources
• Experience creating end-user documentation and assisting with the planning and executing the rollout for software systems
• Ability to become a system expert for the systems running in our stores; this role will serve as 3rd level support for our stores and needs to ability to analyze and document issues and perform analysis to identify the factors leading to system problem/bugs/outages
• Support company and IT initiatives as defined by the IT Strategic Plan.

5. Project Management knowledge – 3-5 years of experience managing complex software development activities and roll-outs

Under the direction of the IT Applications Development Supervisor - Front-End, the IT Applications Developer - Front-End will be responsible for developing robust and complex customer facing UIs of cloud-based web applications while working in a team environment. The IT Applications Developer - Front-End is also responsible for developing intuitive UIs that integrate seamlessly with the back end.
Functions


Work with business analysts to design, develop and write application systems and programs. Create technical documentation to support source code decisions. Actively participate in applications planning/strategy meetings and provide input on appropriate design decisions. Participate in SDLC activities including regularly scheduled deployments. Participate in a SCRUM/Agile process.


Qualifications



Education



Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field of study required.


Experience



2+ years' experience in IT Application Developer capacity required. Experience building functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications based on usability. Experience creating quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines. Experience using source control tools (Git, etc.) in a team environment. Experience managing technical teams and web development activities. Experience with HIPPA, PCI, FDA, GMP, and validated systems. Experience with successful collaborations and/or partnerships with internal/external customers. Experience managing the DevOps (CI/CD) process and automation tools (eg TFS, MSBuild, PowerShell) would be a plus. Experience building cloud-based solutions using Azure, AWS or Google Cloud would be a plus.


Specialized Knowledge & Skills



Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Understanding of key website design principles and SEO optimization Proficient with creating responsive and adaptive web applications Proficient in ASP.NET/MVC Familiarity with content management systems and graphic design applications. This resource will be responsible for mastering knowledge of the business practices, workflows, performance indicators, and predictive factors related to the Compliance Division and Eligibility areas of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to best serve our customers. The resource will also work with other data warehouse analysts and developers to review existing data warehouse policies and practices, particularly as pertain to the modeling, mapping, and presentation of data and information, and modify them as needed and propose new polices or practices.

This position is located on the MDHHS Data Analytics and Visualization team. Working knowledge of Business Objects and relational database experience is required; knowledge and/or the ability to quickly learn MS Word Macros, MS Access, and SQL is preferred to help develop and maintain MDHHS data warehouse and Compliance Division applications, write SQL queries, and develop Business Objects reports.
