Responsibilities


Provide leadership and guidance over the lifecycle management of IT asset Document and maintain policies and processes required for an effective ITAM program Develop and manage a team through the full employment cycle including career development and performance management Understand customers’ needs and challenges and set priorities, plans, and metrics, accordingly, including measuring teams’ impact Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and others - internal and external Manage multiple work plans Administer contract reviews to maximize value of software licensing and support Define and lead continuous service improvements and governance efforts Regularly audit processes, data, and controls to ensure data integrity over IT assets Regularly report on the IT Asset Management program, status, plans, and deficiencies Lead external audit processes, analyses, and resolutions Build audit defense processes and risk assessment/compliance methodologies Partner with internal teams on asset processes and effectiveness Develop dashboard reporting, metrics and program KPIs/CSFs Execute plans and track critical metrics to ensure process improvements as expected



Required Qualifications


Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future 6+ years of related experience 5+ years of experience in Asset Management 5+ year of resource management experience 3+ years of Asset Management tool experience: ServiceNow Preferred (other related tools: Flexera, JAMF, SCCM, etc.) Deep knowledge of Asset Management full lifecycle management for both software and hardware Demonstrated leadership skills related to asset management practices, governance activities, resource management Demonstrated experience related to software license compliance, maintenance renewals, and software assessment Proven vendor audit experience specific to vendor license reviews Results driven to meet or exceed business, service levels, or milestones Proven process skills to drive team efficiencies Strong communication, facilitation, and business skills to successfully articulate ideas, collaborate with third parties, and present to senior leaders Knowledge in financial accounting, governance, and vendor management concepts Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

The Asset and Configuration Manager shall, under the guidance of the Network Operations Senior Program Manager, be responsible performing the following duties:

Interface with the community, which includes project managers, developers, technical system owners and business system owners and serves as a resource for Release Management involvement on new projects and implementations.

Support developers, users, and the Quality Assurance team regarding code storage, builds, and movement of code from development through the test phases and into the production environment through automation.
Responsible for the build/deploy templates for automation within Release Management. Maintain accurate documentation for all change control and version control processes. Research, correct, and respond timely and accurately to issues. Weigh business needs against change control concerns and articulates issues to management. Promote approved software to test and production environments. Support Customer Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board meetings and decisions. Process build reports and coordinate with the project team to resolve noted discrepancies. Enforce and maintain Configuration Management Plans for different programs. Develop, document, implement, and enforce procedures for using the CM environment. Perform CM audits on the integrity of the software CM processes. Manage the CI process to include but not limited to developing CIs and populating the ITSM database. Assess project ticketing needs and make recommendations for best meeting those needs. Create and implement CM plans to satisfy customer requirements. Train team members on CM processes and requirements. Identify and correct deviations from established processes. Continuously evaluate how well CM plans are meeting customer needs. Suggest and implement refinements to the plans as needed. Develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects. Maintain and track physical inventory of all hardware property items. The inventory will be continuously updated as part of an established change management process throughout the hardware life cycle. The inventory lists will be available in electronic format, online and upon demand by Government. The Contractor will assist Government staff in wall-to-wall inventories, equipment and media secure shipping and receiving, property tagging and bar coding, equipment list generation, hardware relocation, and systems disposal and removal, including all container removal, pallet storage or excess equipment storage as required.

Overview

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for defining organization's daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware.   • Create and maintain SOP for asset purchases and license renewals
    • Standardize license renewal process for all Crestron assets
    • Assess Crestron's current asset procurement process and streamline it where possible including finding ways to cut costs by leveraging Creston's buying power.
    • Create the ability for IT to quickly respond to requests for new assets through standardized products and pricing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field or 6 years of industry experience
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in IT Asset Management
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Basic computer system skills, excellent MS office skills
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to learn new technologies.
