JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Security Operations Intern will assist higher level specialists in cybersecurity measures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities.
Perform security incident triage, to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact; identifying the specific vulnerability; and making recommendations that enable expeditious remediation.
Work on various Information Security projects and initiatives.
Perform user account clean-up.
Perform Security platform clean-up, including intrusion detection tuning, asset list validation, etc..
Build reports, dashboards, alerts, and automation in SIEM tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical support for our Columbus-area dealerships and assists other rooftops via remote ticket support when local demand allows. This role focuses on resolving day-to-day user issues, provisioning devices and accounts for new hires, and keeping dealership operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support for Sales, Service, Parts, F&I, Accounting, and administrative teams.
Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, printers/scanners, browsers, Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), and dealership applications.
Resolve and document help desk tickets; prioritize based on operational impact (e.g., service drive down, F&I outage, access issues).
Provision and set up laptops/desktops for new hires and replacements (imaging/Autopilot/Intune enrollment, standard apps, updates).
Deliver a white-glove onboarding experience: device ready, access working, core apps configured before day one.
Support identity/access issues (password resets, MFA enrollment, conditional access prompts) following established processes.
Perform basic connectivity troubleshooting (wired/wireless) and escalate network changes as needed (office moves, device swaps, new drops/ports, Wi-Fi coverage issues), then confirm completion with end users.
Create/update simple documentation and known fixes to reduce repeat issues and improve consistency.
Requirements:
2+ years of desktop support / help desk experience (or equivalent).
Strong Windows troubleshooting skills (hardware, drivers, profiles, performance, printing).
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and common endpoint/access workflows (passwords, MFA).
Working knowledge of basic networking concepts (DHCP/DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting) and printer networking.
Clear communicator with strong customer service instincts; able to support non-technical users in a high-up time environment.
Full-time, on-site in Columbus dealerships. Monthly travel to Louisville or Ann Arbor.
Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to ~50 lbs (PCs, monitors, printers).
Occasional early/late coverage during outages or critical operational needs.
Preferred:
Experience with Intune/Autopilot and Entra ID (Azure AD) concepts.
Familiarity with Conditional Access and endpoint protection tooling (e.g., Defender).
Basic PowerShell for repeatable troubleshooting tasks.
Dealership, retail, or other operationally critical IT experience.
Experience supporting automotive dealership platforms, including DMS and CRM systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion), and coordinating access/troubleshooting with vendor support as needed.

Position Summary:
The Service Desk Analyst will provide technology support for all computer users at the Firm generally via the automated call distribution system. This position will perform processes to troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and a variety of other potential root causes for user system failures. Participates in and performs activities relating to the ITIL Standard process of Incident Management.
Essential Functions:
Provide technology support to Partners and employees of the Firm via telephone, email and in person during normal business hours and after hours when on-call.
Perform incident management activities such as logging new events and updating/escalating existing events until closure in order to meet established KPI goals.
Research solutions to complex support issues and new product requirements.
Assist with creation of instructional documentation and maintenance for the Service Desk knowledge base.
Participate in activities for continued learning in order to enhance skills to be able to assist users.
Be a resource for other IT projects as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of current versions of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
Working knowledge of networking, IT functions and procedures
Familiar with the concepts of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Excellent organization, time management and problem solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and critical situations
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience required.
1 - 3 years of experience in similar field preferred.
The expected pay scale for this position is $26.44-$31.25 per hour (overtime eligible per applicable laws) with an approximate annualized equivalent of $55,000.00-$65,00.00 based on 40 hrs./week. Actual earnings may vary. This range represents our good faith estimate of the starting rate of pay at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as your qualifications, relevant experience, education, work location, and market conditions.

However, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the contractor's legal duty to furnish information. 41 CFR 60-1.35(c)
