Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Controlling (CO) Consultant with deep expertise in Material Ledger, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) specially in the context of a finance transformation or S/4HANA migration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting SAP CO solutions to enable accurate cost tracking, product margin visibility, and financial performance reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Redesign, configure, implement, and support SAP CO modules with a focus on Material Ledger, Product Costing (CO-PC), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
Partner with Finance, Supply Chain and other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional SAP solutions including re-design of the existing to fit into best practices.

Design and maintain costing variants, valuation strategies, and transfer pricing configurations.
Lead end-to-end cost rollups and standard cost updates; analyze variances and reconcile data with FI and MM.
Develop and optimize CO-PA reports and integrate them with Analytics for business insights.
Ensure accurate Material Ledger actual costing runs and coordinate with Finance for reconciliation and reporting.
Collaborate with FI, MM, and PP teams to ensure seamless integration across modules.
Provide functional documentation, training, and end-user support.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP CO Consultant.
Proven experience with Material Ledger (ML), actual costing and parallel valuations.
Product Costing (CO-PC) - standard and actual cost, cost object controlling
Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) including Margin Analysis - costing-based and account-based
Strong integration knowledge with FI, MM, and Inventory modules.
Integration with Universal Journal and experience in cost elements and GL harmonization.
Experience with S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal (ACDOCA) preferred.
Solid understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
