The IT Specialist can expect to focus in the following areas: End-User Support & Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for IT requests via help desk, phone, email, and in-person support. Deliver professional, courteous, and timely assistance to end users. Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, and network-related issues. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Specialist II or Lead, ensuring proper follow-up. Provide basic training and guidance to end users on systems and applications. Hardware & Software Support Configure, install, and set up PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment. Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Assist with deploying and recycling hardware. Support setup and maintenance of AV equipment and conference rooms. Perform user account changes and system updates in Active Directory, Azure, and other applications as directed. Documentation & Tracking Document, track, and monitor support requests in the ITSM system (e.g., FreshService). Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions for knowledge sharing. Assist in maintaining inventory records for IT hardware and peripherals. Contribute updates to knowledge base articles and team documentation. Collaboration Work closely with Specialist II, Lead, and other IT team members to ensure consistent service delivery. Participate in team meetings and training to improve skills and align with IT initiatives. Support IT projects as needed, primarily in execution (device deployment, basic configurations, user setup).
