Your Role Explained.
Roles and responsibilities of the Service Desk Tech II position include:
Service Desk Support: Diagnoses and resolves hardware and software issues. Troubleshoots network and connectivity problems. Assists users with account setup, password resets, and access-related issues. Utilizes remote support tools to assist users located offsite. Provides guidance on remote connectivity and virtual collaboration tools. Monitors system performance and reports issues to the IT team. Ensures tickets are closed within specified timeframes per established service level agreements. Escalates complex problems to the appropriate IT teams when necessary.
Hardware/Software Deployment: Assists with installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software as needed. Collaborates with other IT teams on the implementation of new technologies.
Linux Administration: Administers Linux-based servers and troubleshoot Linux-related issues.
Documentation: Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of support activities, solutions, and configurations. Creates and updates knowledge base articles for common issues.
Training: Facilities training sessions for users on hardware and software usage.
Other Duties as Required: Job may require fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Job Description
IT Field Technicians, a subset of the InformationTechnology department, are responsible for supporting both Ent's employees and end-user IT equipment through on-site technical assistance. Essential Functions

Our Team is looking for a Service Desk Technician. In this role you will maintain InformationTechnology (IT) systems and standard operating procedures for the systems continuing performance. Support day to day operations, resolving issues for customer, as they pertain to InformationTechnology systems. The System Administrator will be the first line of defense in resolving Service Desk issues and providing support for hardware complications. Install, update and ensure functionality of operating systems to improve integrity and efficiency. This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Required Skills:
* Provides Tier 1 Service Desk problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for escalation to Tier 2 and 3 and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
* Provides technical support and guidance to all users. Creates and tracks incident tickets to resolution
* Proficiency with ticketing systems for tracking and managing user support requests.
* Escalates and routes incident tickets to the proper groups to resolve issues
* Track metrics for incident tickets and watch for trends
* Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems
* Work as part of a security incident response team as needed
* Follow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and build Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for service desk performance
* 100% onsite is required in Colorado Springs, CO
* Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university with 1-4 years of experience
* Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Secret Compartmented Information (SCI)
* Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph to achieve SAP security Clearance within 6 months of hire
* Possess a DoD 8140.03/8570.01 Information Assurance Technical II certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire: Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security (CCNA-Security), Cybersecurity Analyst Plus (CySA+), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CompTIA Security+ (Security+), Certified Network Defender (CND), or Systems Security Certified Practioneer (SSCP)
* Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
* All other tasks as assigned by the IT manager
Desired Skills:
* Knowledge of Networking technologies, Ports, Protocols, and services.
* Familiar with COMSEC requirements and procedures

Abacus Technology is seeking a Service Desk Technician to provide technical support for Space Operations Command at Peterson SFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Provide first call resolution for a variety of technical issues.
Open and log trouble tickets, maintain ownership of tickets, and monitor progress and resolution to ensure tickets are resolved and closed.
Escalate tickets as necessary to tier 2 staff.
Provide business analysis support to end-users, document their requirements with user stories, and directly create/update applications or escalate them to our solution developers.
Perform training associated with Tier 1 support as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years experience in a service desk or technical support role. Associate's degree in a related field. Additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Must be Security+ CE certified (or hold equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8140/8570 IAT II requirements). Must hold a Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification. HDI-CSR certification desired. Experience with MS SharePoint and Teams administration. Experience with Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) preferred. Experience managing ticket resolution ITSM, such as Remedy or ServiceNow. Strong desktop application administration experience to include Microsoft Office, web browsers, and anti-virus applications. Experience with Active Directory. Must be able to provide courteous, timely and professional treatment of all customers. Must have outstanding customer service and communications skills and the ability to interact professionally within all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
