Key Responsibilities

Support Group Policy management including creation, updates, troubleshooting, and deployment validation

Participate in configuring and maintaining Windows domain infrastructure including DNS, DHCP, file sharing permissions, and network printers
Contribute to maintaining asset inventories, license tracking, and hardware lifecycle planning
Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or cloud adoption initiatives
Prepare and deploy new workstations and laptops
Ensure systems are properly domain‑joined, patched, secured, and configured with required applications
Migrate user data, backup files, and ensure smooth transition during device replacements
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Systems Administration and Help Desk Support
Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including:
Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive administration and end-user support
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues, including VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, printers, and peripherals
Practical experience with user account management in Active Directory and azure AD (user provisioning, group membership, password policies)
Familiarity with Office 365 Admin Center and Exchange Online (mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists)

Our Embedded Software Engineering team develops the firmware and low-level software that powers our hardware systems. We work at the intersection of hardware and software-bringing up new boards, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability in real-world environments. As an intern, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers to write, test, and debug embedded code for systems that operate in demanding conditions.What You'll Do
Design, implement, and test embedded software and firmware for microcontrollers or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Contribute to board bring-up, hardware/software integration, and system validation efforts.
Work with hardware engineers to debug interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, or CAN.
Develop and run unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulations, and automated regression tests.
Participate in code reviews and help improve internal tools and build systems.
Document your work clearly and communicate progress with the broader engineering team.
What We're Looking For:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Familiarity with C++ programming and a solid understanding of fundamental software concepts (memory management, concurrency, etc.).
Exposure to embedded systems, real-time programming, or microcontroller development (ARM Cortex, STM32, or similar).
Comfortable using basic lab tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters (a plus).
Experience with version control (Git) and build tools (CMake, Make, etc.).
Curiosity about how hardware and software interact, and enthusiasm for hands-on problem-solving.

About This Role
Summer internships will range between the months of May and August. All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
The flight software team is responsible for writing the embedded code that runs onboard Varda's spacecraft - enabling autonomous control, data handling, and fault protection in space. In this role, you will help develop and test real-time C++ software running on flight computers, directly supporting systems like guidance, navigation, control, power management, and communications. You'll gain experience working close to the hardware, integrating with sensors, actuators, and avionics to ensure the vehicle performs reliably across all mission phases.
Internships at Varda are optimal for students looking to grow technically and professionally while working on impactful projects critical to the company's success. You will be working on a collaborative team in a startup environment while being able to learn from some of most accomplished and experienced aerospace professionals in the world. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and debug embedded C++ software running on spacecraft systems

Proficiency in C++
Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating systems
Experience working with embedded systems or microcontrollers (not limited to Arduino)
Familiarity with Linux environments
