P osition Purpose/Scope: What are the key objectives of the position?
Supports and engages in the development of PLANT detailed business concept. Supports in ensuring execution of the software systems and material flow in Spartanburg to support Production and Logistics, with regards to material flow and inventory control. Supports areas by leading transformation activities and facilitating improvements in the optimization of processes within existing production systems. Introduces and develops shop floor processes which are delivered in a structured VPS (Value-Added Production System) approach setting a centralized standard. Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Monitors production WIP's to ensure continuous flow and smooth transition of inventory to meet sequence, throughput and volume goals.
Monitors and controls the internal production processes for all PLANT logistics processes through the use of SAP IM/WM software controlling systems.
Monitors PLANT replenishment systems and interfaces with telegrams between PLC's and SAP.
Monitors various inventory reports in SAP.
Monitors KPIs and takes action to improve results through communication and escalation to responsible party and/or process/system improvements.
Ensures compliance to logistics processes, PLANT targets, and Global requirements.
Logistics key user responsible for work instructions development/accuracy, UAT (user acceptance testing), training end-users, approving systems access, and managing business change requirements.
Solves inbound/outbound inventory flow in dispositive and operative material flow.
Serves as technical contact for 2 nd level (3 rd Party) and 3 rd level (our client IT) support for incidents related to problem solving and/or change management.
Maintains accurate master data in SAP software systems.
Steers future development and implement activities related to PLANT replenishment systems- In terms of new requirements and enhancement needs.
Develops and sustains effective working relationships with all Manufacturing technologies and management teams to insure Spartanburg uptime and volume targets.
Acts as a proxy for other physical logistics systems experts in their absence.
Ensures that SAP IM/WM software systems activities and strategies are aligned to support PLANT goals and targets.
Ensures data accuracy (error codes, inventory, log files, control cycles, etc.) through audits and resolves discrepancies as required.
Recognizes errors, identifies root causes and problems. Resolves errors and faults of the Hardware/Software by working with ESA and IT.
Leads physical logistics in regards to systems testing (UATs), systems development, trouble-shooting, and structure changes (PLC), and responsible for go-live checks/changes.
Physical logistics "key-user " responsible for work instruction development/accuracy, training other users and end-users, approving systems access including profiling, and managing business change requirements.
Serves as project manager for small-medium sized projects overseeing resources assigned, conduct status meetings, and effectively communicates the project status to stakeholders and process partners as delegated by our client manager.
Develops project plans, administers the change control processes, and ensures that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Prepares business process mapping and function design.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for IT development.
Drives, steers, and/or facilitates problem-solving activities and methods across area of responsibility.
Implements strategic targets in the production process with regard to new technologies, innovations, business optimizations using Continuous Improvement principles.
Optimizes process by identifying and eliminating waste within the process.
Introduces new process ideas generated from benchmarks and other best practices.
Analyzes process or system failures to determine root cause and implements countermeasures.

Position Competencies:
Education:
BA/BS, preferably in Inventory Control, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a technical area or related field, or 4+ years equivalent experience in a manufacturing logistics function.
Experience:
Looking for candidates with true SAP Key User experience on the logistics side.
Candidates should not be exclusively IT focused. Additionally, they need to have experience with user testing within a logistics or warehouse operations environment.
4+ years' experience in a logistics key user function to preferably include material flow management, SAP WM, parts ordering, goods receiving, or demand/consumption.
2+ years' experience in SAP systems, planning, analyzing, troubleshooting, testing, development, and application/system changes.
2+ years Continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, process/system optimization, process efficiencies, 6S, waste reduction, and workshop facilitation.
2+ years' experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience in leading projects.

Provide support to Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) as a Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security Intern - Limited Service Employee (LSE) on the Savannah River Site (SRS), a US Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Aiken, South Carolina.
Responsibilities
The Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security intern will perform meaningful work in support of the SRMC organization. The selected Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security intern assist with various projects related to SRMC's IT or Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, such as servers, networks, applications, etc. The selected intern will support:
• Conducting risk assessment and vulnerability analysis using tools like Nessus, etc.
• Performing field validation and supporting penetration testing results.
• Running system scans and generating reports using tools like Nessus, Splunk, Microsoft Defender to include artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning, etc.
• Implementation of security policies and standards using tools like Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for security improvements and issues
Additional Information:
The internship is expected to be a 10-12 week period from May 2026 until the end of July 2026. Housing is not provided, but reasonable rentals may be available through local university student housing offices. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own transportation.
A 40-hour work week is set and scheduled by the individual departments. SRMC utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), etc. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Interns will be paid a competitive hourly rate; no summer interns will be assigned to shift work; overtime is not available; Interns will be paid for site holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th) as applicable.
Assignments will be located in SRMC facilities in Aiken, SC. Public transportation is not available, and interns will be required to arrange their own transportation. A valid Driver's License, Registration and proof of automobile insurance is required for driving on the Savannah River Site.

The IT Specialist contributes to IT inventory control, software deployment, endpoint compliance, and user provisioning processes - ensuring all systems remain secure, standardized, and up to date.
As an integral member of the IT team, the IT Specialist collaborates closely with peers and leadership to continuously improve, modernize, and harden RPG's IT and cybersecurity posture in support of organizational growth, operational excellence, and CMMC compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Configuration and Support
* Configure, deploy, and maintain company-issued laptops, desktops, and mobile devices in accordance with company standards.
* Manage and track hardware inventory, ensuring accurate documentation, lifecycle management, and accountability.
* Provide advanced technical support for hardware-related issues, including diagnostics, repairs, and replacements.
* Collaborate with procurement and management teams to forecast and maintain appropriate inventory levels for IT assets.
* Support and document asset lifecycle policies including onboarding, refresh, and decommissioning.
System Monitoring and Maintenance
* Monitor alerts and performance indicators within RMM tools to ensure system uptime, security, and stability.
* Respond promptly to incidents, escalating issues when appropriate and maintaining detailed incident records.
* Perform regular system updates, patch management, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
* Track and report endpoint compliance metrics (e.g., patch status, antivirus coverage, encryption rates).
* Identify recurring issues and contribute to automation or process changes that reduce downtime.
Software Deployment and Management
* Coordinate and execute software installations, updates, and deployments across endpoints using approved management tools (e.g., Intune, RMM platforms).
* Ensure software licensing compliance and maintain records of all deployed applications.
* Evaluate, test, and recommend new applications or tools that enhance business operations or security posture.
* Automate deployment and update processes where possible using scripting (PowerShell, Intune workflows, or RMM automation).
Security, Data Protection, and Compliance
* Administer and monitor antivirus (AV) and endpoint detection systems to ensure all devices remain protected and up to date.
* Identify and respond to phishing attempts, malware incidents, or other security threats in collaboration with the IT security team.
* Manage data backup and recovery processes, including testing and validation of recovery procedures.
* Support CMMC and NIST 800-171 compliance initiatives by maintaining control documentation and evidence (e.g., MFA enforcement, patching logs, encryption verification).
* Participate in vulnerability scans, remediation tracking, and security awareness initiatives.
* Maintain and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and access controls.
Network and Infrastructure Support
* Assist in basic network administration tasks such as monitoring switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
* Support VPN configuration, user access, and remote connectivity troubleshooting.
* Perform network device health checks, firmware updates, and configuration documentation under senior IT guidance.
* Contribute to network segmentation, backup testing, and business continuity planning.
Identity and Access Management
* Administer Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) for user provisioning, access control, and policy enforcement.
* Manage user accounts, group memberships, and security roles across company systems.
* Implement and monitor multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and compliance settings.
* Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure proper provisioning/deprovisioning across integrated systems (UKG, NetSuite, Cobblestone, etc.).
Documentation, Automation, and Continuous Improvement
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, inventory, and troubleshooting guides.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT workflows through automation, scripting, and process standardization.
* Develop PowerShell or RMM-based automation scripts to streamline patching, provisioning, and compliance reporting.
* Track IT operational metrics (uptime, SLA compliance, resolution times) and recommend improvements based on data trends.
* Provide guidance and technical assistance to end users while promoting best practices and cybersecurity awareness.
Tiered Support and Escalation
* Serve as the first escalation point (Tier 2) for IT support tickets, resolving complex endpoint, access, or configuration issues.
* Escalate advanced infrastructure or security incidents to senior IT staff as appropriate.
* Maintain SLA performance and ensure timely, professional resolution of all support issues.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, endpoint management, or systems administration.
Technical Competencies
* Proficiency with RMM platforms (e.g., NinjaOne, Datto, ConnectWise, or similar).
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
* Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and core network fundamentals (switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless).
* Experience with MDM, endpoint protection (AV/EDR), and backup platforms.
* PowerShell or scripting skills for automation and reporting.
* Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or related cybersecurity frameworks.
