Job Summary

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to own end-to-end delivery of network and data center capacity across concurrent builds.
This role will oversee data center focused projects and initiatives. Managing these construction projects well is key to the overall success of customer deliveries. You will engage directly with our Colo and LV partners' leadership and project management teams, driving accountability and improvements to meet our customers' needs. You will also engage with internal teams to make sure we deliver the proper design and process documentation to the Colo, execute on our ISP circuit contracts, and update all internal tracking tools for handover to our operations teams at the end of the project.
**Role based in Abilene, TX. If you do not relocated to Abilene, then travel 70% weekly is expected.**
**Responsibilities**
Key Responsibilities Include:
+ Being the end-to-end leader in charge of the program, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery.
+ Project Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for data center construction and network build projects to align with organizational goals.

+ The Construction Manager will manage by metric, focusing on tracking daily and weekly field productivity (e.g., labor units, installed quantities) to provide an objective measure of progress and to identify performance deviations early.
+ The Construction Manager will "walk the work" daily to anticipate and resolve conflicts, logistical bottlenecks, and construction challenges at the field level before they escalate into schedule delays or cost impacts.
+ Supervise the GC's daily on-site activities, including management of all subcontractors, staffing plans, and the efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
+ Provide daily and weekly reports to the Owner's Representative Project Manager (ORPM) and google leadership team, including progress photos, safety observations, quality issues, and key productivity metrics. Serve as the primary source of field information for the ORPM's and Owners executive-level reporting.

+ Conduct daily site inspections to ensure the quality of work meets or exceeds contract specifications and drawings. Document and track the resolution of all non-conforming work.
+ Actively participate in first-in-place reviews for critical installations to establish the benchmark for quality across the project.

This position requires working onsite Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week. This Project Manager will be responsible for providing management oversight for all phases of a data center construction project, including project planning, scheduling, task management, coordinating material and equipment, and ensuring that drawings and specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget as well as project completion/project closeout. This position requires daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities that must be completed in a timely manner.

• Overseeing performance of all trade contractors and reviewing all architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Supervising technicians, reviewing their reports and approving timesheets.
• Adhering to all safety requirements both internally and specific to job sites and ensuring safety violations are addressed promptly and in compliance with corporate guidelines and General Contractors.
• Coaching and directing staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with company goals, objectives and budget.
• Reviewing department procedures, staffing and equipment for maximum efficiency while controlling costs.
• Creating and maintaining change order log in collaboration with corporate accounting team and general contractors.
• Ensuring that work associated with change orders is only being executed when proper documentation and direction has been provided.
