Requirements: BS/BA degree PMP or related PM certification 3-6 years' experience of project management in broad technology and business areas Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects of different sizes Experience working on projects with geographically distributed teams and vendors Experience assisting junior PMs and working within a PMO framework Experience implementing software solution projects Major Duties and Responsibilities: Works independently to manage multiple projects with adherence to project management principles and processes Independently leads and co-manages with other Project Managers and/or IT Managers IT projects with adherence to project management principles and processes Has overall responsibility for managing project scope, cost, schedule, and resources for all assigned projects, ensuring projects are completed on-time, on-scope and within budget Leverages knowledge of NMS Labs' systems, products, and services Develops project plans that include all required artifacts, key milestones, and related checkpoints Tracks project milestones and communicate impacts to project plans, resources and/or budget to all key stakeholders Identifies and manages open action items to closure Identifies and escalates risks, issues and/or obstacles Establishes, implements, and continuously improves project management processes and methodologies Works in alignment with corporate Project Management Office to ensure consistent use of and to help improve planning and tracking tools across the organization Helps prepare RFI/RFP/RFQ documents and analyzes proposals within a decision matrix document Coaches and acts as a mentor to other IT and Business PMs Administrative tasks including, but not limited to: Senior Management Level and Stakeholder communications Scheduling, facilitating and documenting meetings Creating and presenting project progress Authoring, reviewing, editing and finalizing all deliverables Maintaining all related information via the centralized project repository Weekly reporting for management regarding status of all projects Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiar with the healthcare industry and related regulatory requirements Familiar with various software development lifecycle models, including Agile, and experience with leading all functions within a project (analysis, design, test, implementation, and acceptance) Possesses strong knowledge of PMI guidelines Possesses working knowledge of IT technology, systems, and service management Possesses knowledge of laboratory IT systems in healthcare environments Possesses specialist knowledge in complex technical and business matters Excellent problem-solving ability Possesses strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a strong ability to create positive and professional business relationships with internal clients Strong partner engagement and presentation skills Ability to balance tactical objectives of speed, simplicity and agility with broader scope and long-range strategic objectives Ability to present ideas in direct and user-friendly language Strong commitment to working as part of a team with an excellent customer service orientation Able to work effectively in a complex, diverse, changing environment Adapts well to and is energized by change whilst maintaining focus on key business goals and personal objectives Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment Ability to manage junior PMs and lead a PMO framework Working knowledge of Microsoft tools (such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive) Working knowledge of recognized industry techniques for project management lifecycle methodologies Physical Demands: Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment, objects, or tools Ability to travel to remote sites by airplane, ground transportation or driving Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended periods of time Specific vision abilities (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus Offers of employment are made contingent upon a nationwide background investigation and urine drug screen with results satisfactory to standards of employment at NMS.
