RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Facility Operations
Serve as the facility focal point and technical expert for all computer, audiovisual (AV), and lighting needs at the Vandenberg Space Force Base (SFB) Conference and Event Center
Ensure presentations are functioning properly before events
Manage furnishings, equipment, and computers in the Conference and Event Center
Support high-level events hosted by Space Launch Delta 30 (SLD 30), Space Systems Command (SSC), mission partners, and external agencies
Coordinate complex, interrelated functions across wing and outside organizations
Perform all facility management duties during base exercises and real-world events
Report changes in Force Protection Condition (FPCON) levels and conduct facility walkthroughs to address anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) concerns
Report suspicious items to the Law Enforcement Desk immediately
Support Shelter-in-Place (SIP) procedures under the direction of the Shelter Commander or Shelter Supervisor
Understand contracted services such as grounds maintenance, refuse collection, and custodial support, and notify base service contacts when needed
II. Scheduling Tasks
Oversee daily operations of the Vandenberg Education & Training Building to support customer needs and mission goals
Act as focal point for classroom scheduling, usage agreements, signage, and user issues
Schedule work to ensure smooth flow and even task distribution
Manage room requests in the Smartsheet database by capturing, reviewing, and responding to entries
Conduct pre-planning and training meetings with customers to explain classroom options
III. Maintenance Duties
Evaluate and inspect facility conditions and identify deficiencies in buildings and grounds
Coordinate with Civil Engineers and contractors for maintenance or repairs that cannot be completed in-house
Submit facility work orders through Civil Engineering in coordination with the Flight Chief
Maintain and update the Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) spreadsheet to track classroom and testing equipment
Provide current inventory records to the Flight Chief or Education and Training Section Chief (E&TSC) upon request
Turn in unserviceable equipment and clear it from inventory records
Perform and document annual and change-of-custodian equipment inventories
Initiate a Report of Survey if equipment is missing
Administer all Facilities Management duties, including warranty coordination
Inspect for safety hazards and report issues per Air Force Instruction (AFI) 91-203
Submit AF Form 332 when corrective action is needed
Ensure compliance with Air Force Space Command Manual (AFSPCMAN) 91-710 for space-related facilities
IV. Technology Support
Perform physical inventories and maintain operational security of all IT, AV, and lighting equipment
Identify, resolve, or escalate IT, lighting, and AV issues
Evaluate, document, and procure replacement equipment through squadron or wing funding channels
Log on and restart all 65+ computers in the facility weekly
Inspect classroom technology daily, including smartboards, projectors, and other multimedia systems
Research and recommend equipment replacements, including detailed product specifications
Assist in purchasing replacement equipment through the government purchase card process
Track and manage IT service requests and resolutions in the designated database
Troubleshoot satellite hardware and operating systems used for instruction
Maintain and use the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS), Work Order Management System (WOMS), and NEXGEN to submit requests for phone installation, movement, or repair
Coordinate with the Communications Focal Point (CFP) for base telephone system issues
V. Administrative Reporting
Create and analyze spreadsheets, charts, and usage data to inform resource planning
Brief the Flight Chief, Force Development on facility performance and future needs
Recommend upgrades or expansions to maintain a state-of-the-art education and training center
Prepare required correspondence, forms, records, and reports in compliance with AFIs and supplemental guidance

The RFCC is a secondary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) serving the Santa Barbara County region. RFCC is a partnership between member agencies and administered by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The RFCC is the dispatch center for the Santa Barbara County Operational area of the California OES Fire & Rescue Mutual Aid System. RFCC is a partnership between member agencies and administered by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The RFCC is the dispatch center for the Santa Barbara County Operational area of the California OES Fire & Rescue Mutual Aid System. It is also responsible for ordering, dispatching, and tracking resources including fire engines, crews, dozers, aircraft, and overhead personnel as required through the Santa Barbara County Fire Department's contract with CalFire.
