Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-4 calls per day in this territory
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

The base pay range for this position is expected to be between $31,000.00 and $46,000.00 per year. Nettech, a New Charter Technologies company, is seeking a highly skilled IT Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. Other companies may call this role a IT Analyst, IT Support Specialist, Technical Support Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Network Engineer. In this role, you'll provide technical support, perform network and systems maintenance, and ensure smooth IT operations for small to medium-sized business environments. You'll troubleshoot everything from Level 1 support (password resets, user access, OS issues) to advanced Level 3 engineering tasks such as Windows Server administration, firewall configuration, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.

Provide Tier 1-3 IT support including Windows desktop, server, and network troubleshooting.
Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, managed switches, and Wi-Fi networks (SonicWall and Meraki experience preferred).
Support users in Office 365 / Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
Manage and support end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Install and support network-based antivirus and endpoint protection solutions (SentinelOne, Sophos, Bitdefender, Webroot, etc.).
Provide remote desktop and virtualization support (VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V).
Use network monitoring tools to identify, analyze, and resolve system alerts.
Document issues, solutions, and procedures in the company's ticketing and time management systems.
Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
Participate in IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and system optimizations.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of IT experience in Helpdesk, Service Desk, or Field Support roles.
1+ year of field support experience (on-site technical work).
Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, hardware diagnostics, and system configuration.
Experience supporting users in Office 365 and Active Directory environments.
Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, network connectivity, and remote access troubleshooting.
Experience supporting mobile devices, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V).
Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive in identifying process improvements.
Preferred Skills
Experience with firewall management (SonicWall, Meraki).
Exposure to network security, endpoint protection, and cloud environments.
Background in managed IT services (MSP) or multi-client support environments.
Certification(s) such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or VMware VCP are a plus.
