Support advanced nuclear technology with national and global impact Work in a mission-driven, security-focused organization Collaborate with technical, security, and regulatory leaders Play a key role in protecting systems that support U.S. energy and national security 🛠️ What You'll Do IT Operations & Infrastructure Lead day-to-day IT operations for networks, servers, endpoints, and communications systems Maintain secure system configurations, patching, and performance monitoring Oversee IT asset lifecycle management, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal Ensure all software and systems are properly licensed, supported, and compliant Cybersecurity & Compliance Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, 32 CFR 117, and other applicable requirements Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and regulatory documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and risk registers Support regulatory inspections and audits under DOE, NRC, and/or DoD oversight Document security incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions Governance & Continuous Improvement Recommend improvements to IT governance, procurement, and configuration management processes Monitor system health, risk posture, and compliance status, escalating issues as appropriate Ensure configuration changes and policy updates are reviewed and coordinated with the Information Security Programs Manager (ISPM) Collaboration & Communication Serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact for IT systems Maintain effective, timely communication with regulatory agencies and stakeholders Build strong partnerships across technical, security, and leadership teams What You'll Bring U.S. Citizenship (required) Active DOE/NRC Q-Clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance (required) Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, or a security-related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers, SANs, and workstations 5+ years of experience administering IT programs supporting regulatory inspections and compliance documentation Strong working knowledge of NIST 800-series standards (800-53, 800-82, 800-171) and CNSSI 1253 Basic information security certification (e.g., Security+) Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or Security-related field Advanced security certifications (CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CCSP, CEH, etc.) Experience working under 10 CFR 95 and NRC classified matter protection programs Background supporting NRC-regulated or DOE-classified environments 🔐 Important Note This role requires the ability to maintain an active DOE or NRC Q-Clearance and ongoing eligibility for access to controlled and classified facilities.
