Create a team structure and process for quality control during development, testing, debugging code, and deployment.
Ensure best practices for Agile methodologies are implemented, and continuous improvements are made, as needed. Ensure adherence to code scanning and other security protocols during development and release.
Ensure IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, projectmanagement, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are established, effectively managed, and performed.
Remain informed of new technologies and/or business processes and incorporate those technologies to improve the productivity of the applications staff and software systems' maintainability.
Drive continuous improvement and be adaptable to changing designs and to adding performance enhancements.
Play a key role in formulating and following the procedures and processes for development.
Play a key role in the formation of agile delivery teams for development and technology delivery.
Product Development and Roadmap:
Understand and partner with United business and DT leadership teams, along with product SMEs, to define the end‑state vision, goals, and strategy of the product and create a multi‑year product development strategy and tactical plans.
Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective and innovative solutions to problems.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technology trends and advancements.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Partnership:
Engage, collaborate, and partner with stakeholders, technical and business, to understand business requirements and user expectations, and lead the development of solutions that meet functional and technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including IT operations, security, and quality assurance, to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our applications.
Foster strong relationships with business partners, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for the IT department.

Governance & Performance:

Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelors degree in InformationTechnology, Computer Engineering, Finance, or related field
7+ years of relevant experience in application development.
At least 12 months of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross‑functional teams or projects, and influencing senior‑level management and key stakeholders.
Understanding of system architecture principles, including the ability to design scalable and reliable solutions.
Strong background in Agile delivery, cloud technologies (such as AWS/Azure), and enterprise integration (API, microservices).
Proficient in projectmanagement methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Leadership experience and the ability to guide and inspire a team. Projectmanagement skills may also be beneficial.
A mindset for continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Our manufacturing end user client are looking for a highly experienced Dynamics 365 F&O ProjectManager to play a key role in their D365 transformation program. The role requires candidates with experience of leading complex transformations and managing 3rd party ProjectManagers.
The role will require time on-site in Chicago on a weekly basis so candidates need to be locally based. Candidates must be US citizens or green card holders. C2C will not be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Help lead replacement of multiple legacy systems with D365 F&O.
Oversee 3rd party ProjectManagers - ensure they are leading their workstreams as required.
Planning and organizing, by effectively managing priorities, all aspects of the project based on scope of work and goals.
Coaching and guiding members of the internal and external team to complete the project.
Managing schedules, budgets and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project delivery dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed.
Preparing content for the contractual framework (SOWs and Change orders) and responsibility for execution the project deliverables as defined.
Being involved in all aspects of the project, monitoring day-to-day activities of internal/external project teams and ensure work is progressing as planned.
Actively monitoring project risks and scope to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively working with project teams to identify solutions to address them in advance.
Providing project status reporting both to clients and internal management teams.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in directly managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O software implementation deployments.
Experience managing 3-5 full life cycle implementations.
Proven experience in client facing role and strong customer relationship skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills and sense of priorities.
Experience with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
