Purpose
To provide technical and process support for PC Board manufacturing operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical and process support related to PC Board production, prototype, and process development.
Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
Address concerns reported through employee suggestion and near-miss systems.
Encouraged to initiate changes for continuous product and process improvement.
Basic Requirements
Minimum of a high school education or GED is required.
Minimum 5 years of work experience or Associate Degree in related field.
Rotational availability between 1st and 2nd shift is preferred.
Has full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training and considerable work experience
Completes a variety of atypical assignments
Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments

Work in a safe manner and observe all company EHS and JHA procedures.
Follow safe equipment operating procedures and only operate equipment when guards are in place and in good condition.
Know that the company EHS procedures are contained in reference books such as SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations. Safety Data Sheets are stored electronically and available 24/7. In an emergency SDS may be accessed at Security.
Immediately notify the Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS and JHA procedures.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-09: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree

For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques. For example, experience in developing modifications to parts of a system that required significant revisions in the logic or techniques used in the original development. Accomplishments, in addition to those noted for the GS-9, normally involve the following, or the equivalent: Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; and adaptation of guidelines or precedents to the needs of the assignment.

Specialized experience is defined as: Managing, safeguarding, and accounting for cryptographic materials and controlled items; operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of a wide range of encryption devices; programming and distributing
cryptographic devices and managing keying material through systems like the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI); and auditing of cryptographic accounts, analyzing telecommunications systems for vulnerabilities.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

IT Analytics Intern Position Summary:

As a IT Infrastructure Technician ( internal Job Title : GTS Specialist ) , you will be a critical, hands-on IT Technician, driving efficiency, resilience, and a superior digital experience across several sites. What You Will Do: The Key Responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of operational excellence, emerging technology, and world-class service, providing essential support and strategic partnership.
Provide Technical & OT Support: Serve as the go-to technical expert, resolving complex issues across IT infrastructure (network, hardware, cybersecurity, database) and mission-critical Operational Technology (OT) within our manufacturing sites.
Drive Process and Innovation: Proactively collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes, champion innovative solutions, and ensure that IT changes, including the shift to agile methodologies, are seamlessly adopted by local teams.
Orchestrate and Deliver Projects: Lead the successful execution of IT projects-from hardware refreshes to security rollouts-ensuring they are on-time, within budget, and align with company standards.
Manage End-to-End Asset Lifecycle: Oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, thin clients) from procurement and deployment to maintenance and decommissioning.
Champion Service Excellence: Act as a trusted advisor and business liaison, providing timely, accurate support and advocacy for digital workplace technologies to ensure users have a positive experience.
Apply ITIL Principles: Leverage ITIL best practices for change management, incident resolution, and continuous problem prevention to maintain a highly available and resilient service environment.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree in a business or technology field is preferred.
InformationTechnology courses or certification(s) required.
3-5 years of hands-on experience performing troubleshooting and problem resolution on computer, server, network, and telecommunication systems in remote manufacturing sites.
Experience with Operational Technologies (OT) in a manufacturing environment is highly valued.
A foundation in ITIL principles is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $58,140 - $73,000/ year. The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
