This Technical Product Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and testing product data, pricing, rules & notes for products in our Unitary portfolio, including the Mitsubishi/Trane Joint Venture and other products, based on business needs. This work supports software programs used by the field sales organization, as well as external customers, to select Trane Commercial Systems equipment. It also supports the tools used by commercial sales offices to price, generate documents such as proposals and submittals, and ultimately to order Trane equipment. This position requires a detailed-oriented person who works well both independently and in a team setting. Must have good written communication skills to clearly communicate product selection and ordering requirements to both internal Trane personnel and external customers. What you will do: Oversee implementation, maintenance, and auditing of configuration management and bill of materials across multiple systems to ensure data integrity. * Utilize critical thinking skills to convert requirements from design, engineering, product support, and manufacturing into effective supporting tools and processes. * Troubleshoot and resolve data and application issues reported by customers, ensuring timely and effective solutions. * Ensure delivery of accurate and reliable data products by thoroughly reviewing both personal work and the work of others. * Work with cross-functional teams to create and maintain analytic workflows and data visualizations that support business objectives. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. Job Details: This is a 1099/per call position Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed. Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered. Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you. You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day. You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day. You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial) You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.
