This is a
Computer Field Technician Position
doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position,
you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-4 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be comfortable with daily local travel

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for IT Supervisor - Student Help Desk, Information Technology [R0149245].
ROLE of the POSITION
The IT Supervisor - Student Help Desk reports directly to the IT Support Services Manager and is responsible for the strategic oversight and daily management of UNLV's student-run help desk. This position ensures that student workers are effectively recruited, trained, and supervised to provide high-quality technical support to the campus community. The IT Supervisor will make recommendations on the selection, implementation, and maintenance of help desk technologies to ensure efficiency and responsiveness to student, faculty, and staff needs.
This position will serve as the primary liaison between the student help desk, UNLV Information Technology's Tier 2 support, and the LMS support team, ensuring seamless escalation processes and collaborative troubleshooting. Additionally, the IT Supervisor - Student Help Desk will work closely with the Student Workforce Development Coordinator to align training and professional development initiatives for student workers.
Customer Service Expectations: This position is responsible for maintaining a customer-focused approach in all duties, ensuring professional, timely, and effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Primary point of contact for all incoming help desk support tickets and IT Helpline calls
* Responsible for distributing and assigning help desk support tickets for the IT Department
* Provides Tier 2 Technical Support for all service-related calls received and escalates issues and concerns as needed
* May also participates as an after-hours support call center team member
* Provides general office support to the Information Technology Director and Manager with project as assigned
* Participates on committees, task forces, workgroups, and facilitates technology meetings and project groups as directed.
* Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with other departments, ensuring the information technology department is well received and presented professionally and positively.
* Maintains a high-level confidentiality with regards to all internal, external matters and other material as deemed necessary.
* Maintains knowledge on current technology by reading technology periodicals, evaluating new technologies and attending technical seminars and training sessions.
Job Qualifications:
* High School Diploma and appropriate coursework in computer science, information technology, or other technical field of study and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a tier 2 help desk support role in a fast paced, multifaceted information technology department or equivalent combination of education, experience and equivalent related professional designations
* Demonstrate an ability to effectively partner with team members and end users to provide best in class service for all end users, hardware and software needs
* Champion for exceptional customer service in providing solutions to technological and operational issues and concerns for an entire enterprise system

IT System Administrator
Information technology/support technician job in Las Vegas, NV
A Systems Administrator, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of company intranets and computer systems. Their duties include installing antivirus or malware protection software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinating with company leadership to determine new technologies that could enhance their company's computer systems.
Pay Range- $75k - $100k -Yearly /DOE
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers.
• Coordinate with network engineering, business applications, and database administration functions to implement desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
• Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all host security systems.
• Manage all operating systems and end-user software.
• Manage communications (e-mail, IM, etc.) and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company website, intranet, and Internet applications.
• Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain input/output fleet, including printers and scanners.
• Maintain end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform network and security audits.
• Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
• Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
• Create required reports in response to business user needs.
• Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsources, and contractors to secure software products and services.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Certificates in ITIL Foundation 3+, MCSE or CompTIA Server+ preferred, O365 or M365 experience required, certifications a plus. Any security such as CISSP preferred.
• Experience with data management.
• Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a State Gaming License.
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server (all supported versions), Cisco IOS and GUI.
• Extensive application support experience with highly regulated systems, casino preferred.
