Functional Purpose
Conducts forensic analyses of digital and other multimedia evidence utilizing appropriate scientific methodologies, forensic techniques, and quality assurance practices in support of criminal and administrative investigations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts forensic examinations of digital and other multimedia evidence through the application of scientific practices for the recognition, collection, analysis, and interpretation of digital evidence for criminal and civil law or regulatory purposes.
2. Examines and analyzes evidence and interprets scientific observations and data to render conclusions, form opinions and produce reports utilizing a full range of electronic search methods and forensic examination techniques.
3. Provides expert witness testimony; produces comprehensive reports and illustrative exhibits for federal, state, and local judicial proceedings at a level sufficient to explain evidence interpretations and conclusions from forensic examinations and scientific data to a lay audience.
4. Serves as a subject matter expert and technical advisor in matters relating to the proper collection, preservation, packaging, and submission of digital and multimedia evidence; participates in crime scene evidence collection activities in major field investigations; ensures evidence handling requirements are met.
5. Performs ongoing evaluation and validation of laboratory instrumentation and methods, operating protocols, and safety practices under supervision; maintains awareness of safety procedures and identifies possible physical conditions and/or laboratory procedures that may create unsafe conditions.
6. Delivers training in laboratory services, evidence collection, crime scene processing and field examination.
7. Conducts studies and research for improving forensic analyses, scientific methods, and resolving forensic examination problems.
8. Acts as liaison with postal management and federal, state, and local organizations on technical developments, forensic methods, and investigative problems of common interest.
9. Analyzes systems to assist with network intrusion and cybersecurity investigations to determine the cause and extent of a breach.
Requirements
1. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to prepare reports of examination results and conclusions, and provide testimony as an expert witness before state, federal or other judicial bodies.
2. Ability to provide training related to laboratory services, evidence collection, and field examination.
3. Knowledge of evidence collection, preservation, packaging and shipment procedures sufficient to serve as a technical advisor in such matters and to ensure evidence handling requirements are met.
4. Knowledge of forensic science techniques, laboratory protocols, research methodologies, quality assurance standards and computer forensic and cyber security examination procedures, instrumentation and software sufficient to properly access, preserve, and extract appropriate evidence from a variety of media and conduct detailed and complex analyses and interpretation of the value of evidentiary items.
5. Ability to render conclusions/opinions and make recommendations based on forensic practices of recognition, collection, and interpretation of digital and multimedia evidence related to computer forensic examinations.
6. Ability to conduct and document scientific research related to computer forensic examinations.
7. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, forensic science, or a closely related field from a college or university accredited by a national or regional accreditation organization recognized and sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Education. NOTE: Employees in the Forensic Computer Analyst or Forensic Computer Analyst Sr position prior to June 27, 2015, are exempt from this requirement.

Data and System Maintenance

Help to identify and advise the CTO of potential problems, enhanced service initiatives, and regular status updates of current systems on an ongoing basis.
Process Automation & Workflow Optimization
Identify manual workflows and propose automation solutions (e.g., using Power Automate, Python, etc.).
Work with Operations Team to streamline data entry, client onboarding, billing, and compliance tasks.
Document processes and maintain SOPs for automated workflows.
Reporting & Insights
Collaborate with staff to improve reporting accuracy and relevance.

Help Desk & Tech Support
Assist with troubleshooting of end user hardware and software issues, as needed. This may include:

So what will I be doing every day?
Below is a list of the day-to-day areas of responsibility. You won't be responsible for all of them right from the outset - you'll be working with other members of our team and your responsibility will increase over time.
Independent Project Delivery- A project will be anything with a predefined scope, quote and budget. A large portion of this position is completing routine projects for our clients, including computer replacements, network equipment upgrades and new location setups. You'll work with the IT Project Manager or another senior project team member to become an expert at preparing, coordinating, and delivering on these projects and will continually improve our standards and best practices along the way.
Collaborative Project Work- Larger more complex projects include office moves, new client onboarding/audits, infrastructure overhauls, server migrations, large scale expansions, and cloud/3

party software integrations. You'll act as a supporting resource for onsite and remote work on larger projects to help deliver them on time, under budget and with high customer satisfaction. You'll be tasked with equipment prep, user support, onsite assistance
Onsite Assistance and Coverage - We can do a lot remotely, but we still need to be ready to drive to a customer site when necessary. As one of our hybrid workers, you'll be tasked with onsite coverage outside of your own project work if other resources are not available. You may also be asked to assist remotely for any sites or customers you have unique knowledge based on recent work.
Customer/Client Service - This position is highly interactive with our clients and requires a positive and friendly attitude. You'll be responsible for dealing with all different types of people and businesses with varying knowledge levels and decision-making abilities regarding technology.
Documentation - We all know that our own internal filing systems make sense. To us. But unfortunately, they make no sense to anyone else. Which is why we have a wonderful, amazing, peer-reviewed, and internally created knowledge base! It's your job to create, edit, add, subtract, replace, and improve it every single day. That way when the next guy or gal has the same issue, they've got your best and brightest ideas on how to fix it all teed up and ready to go.
Continuing Education - We plan on making you learn. About a lot of stuff. All the time. Even when you don't want to. And you're going to have to get certified on it. And we'll pay you for doing it. Organized and Detailed - You're on a video call, your phone is ringing, you're taking notes and people are asking questions on instant message, not to mention you have an onsite starting in two hours with computers in the lab you still need to finish setting up. You also have multiple tickets and plethora of research browser tabs open on your screen. You'll need to be able to stay organized and funnel everything into the appropriate tickets, time entries, notes, and updated knowledge base articles, making not forgetting any steps.
3 years of applicable IT experience - preferably working for an MSP/IT Service Provider primarily handling customer facing tickets, projects, or escalations.
Experience administering firewalls, networking equipment and wireless systems
MCP, A+, and Network+ Certifications or equivalent for computer hardware troubleshooting, networking, and for the latest Windows desktop operating systems.
Educated - There are a few pre-requisites for a job at Dynamic Computing. One is that you got an education that will help support your career path. For this position, it means at least an AA or Technical degree in something that's at least kind of computer or IT related. If you've got a bachelor's degree, that's even better (unless it's in General Studies). Heck, we'll even take a master's degree (although we might not be able to afford you). What do I get for all my hard work?
Good question! Here's the scoop on this position:
Money - The compensation for this position is market competitive and will be dependent upon experience and expertise but we anticipate a base salary between 55-75k. After a few months, you'll be eligible for our bonus program, which gives you the opportunity to earn an additional 10% of your salary each quarter.
Time - We'd like 40 hours/week from you. It might be 45 some weeks, but hopefully not too often. We'll try our best not to have it hit 50. And you'll keep a roughly business hours schedule (We're open M-F 7:30am - 6:00pm. Typical start time is 8:30 am with some flexibility).
Medical - We pay 100% of your medical insurance! (We're not kidding). We'll also contribute to your HSA account, and we'd encourage you to do the same (not to mention that you get a tax break for doing so).
Disability - We also ensure all employees have both a short-term and long-term disability plan in place to make sure that you continue to receive income if you get hurt and are unable to work.
Retirement - We provide a Simple IRA retirement plan, matched dollar per dollar for up to the first 3% of your salary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Support Information Technology requests and troubleshoot end-user computing & access issues via the Valence I.T. Help Ticket system.
Maintain and support End User personal computers (desktop & laptop), Operating Systems, Office 365 & commonly used applications, scanners & printers, office & mobile phones, and approved access to Valence applications and data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
3+ years of hands-on experience setting up domain users, reviewing group policies, managing OU permissions, and maintaining account and network passwords.
2+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining VMWare, vSphere, ESXi, resource pools, VMFS, and virtual switching.
2+ years of hands-on experience managing Firewall appliances such as SonicWall and Fortinet.
Must have hands-on experience with Office 365 administration and MFA products.
Must have hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs
Must have good organization and documentation skills and the ability to prioritize work.
