This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

This will be an on-site position in Brookfield, WI Responsibilities ProjectThe Brookfield Datacenter is coming up at 50 years of age, and a lot of systems have come and gone, but sometimes remnants remain, such as network cabling, power cables, rack systems, etc. that are often left in place when a server or other system has been removed. This is a hands-on project, and applicants should have comfort or willingness to use power tools and get a little sweaty and dusty. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Assisting Building Engineer in cleaning out outdated hardware and infrastructure. + Assisting System Engineers in installing new systems. + Diving into system administration and network tasks. The Information Technology Intern will get an introduction to Windows desktop support and gain experience with the technical operations of a manufacturing organization. The Information Technology Intern will provide direct technical assistance to Badger Meter staff for network, hardware and software issues. The Information Technology Intern will be responsible for imaging and building hardware, installing software, user access requests, troubleshooting (laptops, desktops, printers, and networking issues), determining root cause of problems, and working with third party IT vendors.
