    The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes and supervises the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This management position holds responsibly for overall fleet/equipment support and associated maintenance processes that include inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance and disposal at the Division level. This manager will work in partnership with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure overall fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety and cost effective fleet performance. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manages departmental hiring, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, scheduling of work assignments, and overtime authorization. 2. Maintains an ongoing preventive/corrective maintenance program which sets the standard for service excellence. 3. Reviews status reports including road calls, breakdowns, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance. 4. Provides hands-on maintenance assistance as needed. 5. Education of driver responsibilities as it relates to DVIR's, operation of fleet vehicles, and basic CDL requirements. 6. Assures all maintenance-related data is available for input in the vehicle maintenance system. 7. Monitor Dossier efficiencies to include inventory control, goals for improved performance, monitoring, measuring and reporting. 8. Assists in purchasing of new vehicles, equipment, tools and containers. 9. Responsible for establishing maintenance related training sessions that improve overall fleet condition and operational knowledge of drivers, mechanics, and shop personnel. 10. Administer and monitor regional adherence to federal and state programs, and oversees maintenance in accordance with EPA and other mandatory regulations. 11. Verifies implementations of required DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations and monitors conformance as required on an ongoing basis. Coordinate efforts with local Safety, Corporate Safety and Regional Maintenance Manager. 12. Ensuring efficient utilization, vehicle maintenance quality, and transportation to ready-lines. 13. Fleet inventory/condition reporting, including out of service listing, matched to asset list. 14. Manages divisional maintenance budgets. 15. Responsible for implementation/monitoring of all fleet maintenance activities (e.g.Pre/Post pre-trip, safety lane, warranty recovery, tire standards, oil/lubricants, major component failure, and all new initiatives). 16. Facilitate movement of equipment between division ensuring proper inspections and delivery of equipment in ready condition. 17. Evaluate body damage estimates as it relates to maintenance and fleet functions; manages cost controls and enhances vendor service. 18. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications and/or alternate vendors based on maintenance/costing information. 19. Analyze service issues related to fleet maintenance and performs root cause analysis, recommends remediation methodologies and escalates as needed to address issues. 20. Assists in purchase of 21. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor's responsibilities include supervising a technician (mechanic) team responsible for preventive maintenance/repair of a fleet; machinery that supports a post-collection facility; repair/maintenance of equipment that services the container shop; and providing direction to technicians to ensure that all repairs/maintenance to equipment (trucks -- diesel and alternate fuel, containers and other heavy duty equipment) are performed in compliance with Company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal and state regulations. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling repair work for the work group to ensure that all work is done in a safe and timely manner, reducing lost productivity. Review and approve expenses that are within scope of approval level; refer larger expenses or major repairs to manager as appropriate. * Maintain advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions on heavy equipment and vehicles used by Company, on site and on the road, including: engine chassis repair and maintenance; knowledge of vehicle body control systems, including hydraulics and electrical systems to maintain and repair vehicles in a timely and safe manner; knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems to effectively diagnose and repair complex heating and cooling systems in vehicles in a timely and safe manner; and knowledge of welding tools to fix heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure equipment is back in an operable condition as quickly and as safely as possible. * Manage related administrative matters for team, including payroll, maintenance of employee records, records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, recording of all information into Dossier Maintenance Software, prepare and submit budget for approval, set departmental goals to align with targets and performance objectives established by division's leadership.     Operations and Maintenance Coordinator Reports to : Supervisor, Transmission Operations and Maintenance * Incumbent must work in office in Atlanta four (4) days per week and may work remotely one (1) day per week with manager approval Summary : Under limited supervision, has functional responsibility for the supervision, planning, coordination, and contract administration of MEAG transmission facility maintenance. Advises test engineers, contractors, inspectors, Participants, and other utilities of system operations and issues. Resolves maintenance concerns, ensures material availability, and maintains critical transmission equipment databases. Supports operational reliability, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance by coordinating both field and administrative O&M activities. Scope of Responsibility: Responsible for coordinating and supporting all transmission Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, including contractor oversight, outage scheduling, compliance reporting, database management, billing/invoice review, and budget support. Shares responsibility with team members to ensure coverage of essential O&M functions. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities : Supervises and directs contractors to complete corrective and preventive maintenance on substations and transmission lines. Verifies progress, communicates status, and expedites materials as required for the completion of maintenance activities. Manages MEAG's response to maintenance concerns by identifying solutions and issuing Maintenance Authorization Requests (MARs) to the appropriate contractors to have corrections made. Communicates with Participants and contractors to verify all are aware of the status of the work to be performed. Conducts monthly audits of open MARs to ensure timely completion of work. Coordinates and schedules outages, including submitting work clearances to the system operator for Participants and contractors. Reviews all maintenance reports to make sure equipment is tested per specifications and, when needed, recommends additional maintenance required on the equipment to keep the equipment operating in excellent condition. Ensures all reports are properly stored on MEAG's servers. Prepares Work Orders and Purchase Orders as directed and sends to appropriate recipients. Closes MARs and/or Work Orders, ensuring tracking and information databases are updated with maintenance or corrective activities. Maintains MEAG's MMS system to ensure that transmission assets are always up-to-date to properly schedule preventive maintenance for all equipment, transmission lines, and rights-of-way. Coordinates with the system operator to ensure updated information is also entered into their maintenance database(s). Communicates extensively with Participants and contractors via phone, text, e-mail, and/or field visits to troubleshoot problems and coordinate effective solutions. Serves as a point of contact for Participants, contractors, and transmission system operators for day-to-day and emergency operations of the transmission system. Analyzes and recommends improvements to major systems, work processes, practices and policies. Monitors projects to ensure compliance with regulatory and reliability requirements. Performs tasks to maintain compliance with applicable NERC Reliability Standards, including PRC-005 (Transmission Protection System Maintenance and Testing Procedures) and FAC-003 (Transmission Vegetation Management). Escalates issues/concerns to management in a proactive manner. Reviews and verifies invoices for correct coding. Procures material for operations, maintenance, and physical security needs. Verifies MEAG's SCADA system operates as intended through testing functionality with Low Side contractors. Assists in the development of the annual budget reports, incorporating O&M and capital costs. Prepares reports, performance indicators, and other analyses to support management decision-making. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications : Position generally requires a bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong mathematical, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Knowledge of electrical equipment and expertise with equipment operation and maintenance is necessary. Strong computer and software literacy is required, specifically knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with databases. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills are required. A cooperative and flexible attitude when adjusting to changing priorities is required. Ability to perform duties while exercising effective decision-making, escalations, and demonstrate effective team interactions.
