Managing Director, Tax Services
As a member of our Global Property Tax Advisory practice, you will assist clients in identifying tax saving opportunities by reviewing their tangible property portfolio and associated property tax assessments and liabilities. We currently seek a Managing Director that can lead and manage multiple engagements that include valuation appeals, pre/post acquisition due diligence, property tax appeals, exemption identification, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and review of valuation reports to support personal and real property tax appeals through the use of cost, sales or income approaches to value
Identification and quantification of obsolescence and exemption opportunities
Development and review of written explanations for use in the appeal process
Lead presentations to state or local assessor offices when negotiating settlements
Develop and deliver practical, quality tax planning approaches that are based on the client's tax situation
Direct the development of property tax planning recommendations and working with the client on plan implementation
Deliver projects in a timely manner with final work products that meet or exceed the client's expectations
Direct the selection and use of outside attorneys, appraisers, or other experts when required
Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure an ongoing pipeline of project work
Direct the work of client service team members
Supervise, mentor, and train client service team members
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of relevant property tax consulting experience
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
Demonstrated expert knowledge in valuation assessments for real and personal property tax, property tax appeals, appraisal reviews, and litigation support
Substantial knowledge of real and personal property tax laws of various state and local jurisdictions
Proven ability to defend the scope of work performed in the project before state & local appeal boards and courts
Command of valuation theories and principals
Excellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skills
Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to build valuation models
Previous experience leading a team of professionals
Ability to motivate others to excel in a professional services environment

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Servicing and Asset Management team. This role will be responsible for leading and developing a team of analyst and administering the property inspection process across Greystone's agency loan portfolio. The Assistant Manager will oversee the inspection scheduling, receipt, quality control, and delivery of property operations ensuring full compliance with servicing responsibilities and investor requirements. The Assistant Manager is a strong leader with good team management skills and proven success in motivating and developing staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of analysts responsible for administering property inspection processes across Greystone's agency loan portfolio.
Oversee inspection scheduling, receipt, quality control, and delivery, ensuring full compliance with servicing responsibilities and investor requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring consistency in inspection quality and standards.
Monitor investor deadlines and inspection submissions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Respond to investor inquiries, implement process improvements, and adapt procedures based on feedback and evolving standards.
Produce detailed reports for internal stakeholders and coordinate multi-departmental projects to improve operational efficiency.
Conduct quality control reviews of servicing systems to ensure alignment with investor systems and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with internal technology teams to enhance internal scheduling, tracking, and submission systems.
Provide support for audits by preparing and submitting required documentation to investors and agencies.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics and/or a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Asset Management is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Strong leadership and team management skills with proven success in motivating and developing staff.
A strong sense of urgency about solving problems, meeting challenging deadlines, and achieving critical goals.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability in dynamic business environments.
