We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Storage and HyperConverged Infrastructure Consultant for our Integrated Global Services team based out of our Denver branch. You will be supporting Long View clients with technical issues related to their storage and backup environment.
A Day in the Life:Provide solutions to a variety of Long View clients as a Systems Consultant specializing in cloud platforms and technology such as:o Storage platforms including NetApp, and EMCo HCI platforms including Nutanix, VxRail, and SimpliVityo Virtualization platforms including VMware ESXi and Nutanix AHVo Networking - general understanding of networking principles and technologies (proficient), specifically with Cisco networking technologieso Compute - Understanding of server hardware platforms and blade technologies with focus on Cisco UCS and NutanixWork with clients on tasks such as capacity planning, installations, patching, upgrades, configuration and administration of network and security components on various physical and virtual platforms Administer network and security components on various physical and virtual platforms Develop scripts, automation practices and incorporate monitoring tools and processes System performance tuning and troubleshooting, installations, deployments, and day-to-day operations Proactive monitoring to ensure system stability and performance Identify, troubleshoot and remediate system failures, performance issues and security issues Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies or software systems Assist with other technical infrastructure support activities as required

Compensation
$61,310 - $91,965 with 10% variable earnings

The Technical Infrastructure Consultant will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle Retail database and application servers. Upgrading/Migrating databases, application servers, and Oracle Retail Applications. At OLR we look to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Oracle Retail stores solutions features and remain at the forefront of industry best practices.

The Technical Infrastructure Consultant will apply their specialized expertise in the area of Stores to help deliver successful store-level solutions for clients. They will provide expertise in industry and process areas for the Oracle Retail suite and xstore products.
Responsibilities

Maintain Point-Of-Sale (POS) hardware and software

Install and maintain Oracle Retail POS applications

Troubleshoot and resolve POS application and hardware issues

Build and maintain hardware staging image

Maintain inventory of POS hardware for multiple clients

Configure Jenkin build jobs

Install and maintain database and application servers

Install and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases

Support team members during testing process

Gather and document requirements from clients

Perform knowledge transfer to client personnel especially related to Oracle Retail and OLR applications and requirements

About You

Essential skills

Production support experience with databases (Oracle, SQL), application servers (Jetty, Tomcat)

Experience with administration of Oracle Retail Suite or other enterprise applications

Strong understanding of operating systems

Experience integrating and supporting POS hardware

Experience with Oracle Retail Xstore application

Building and support staging images for hardware deployments

Proven ability to work through SRs

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to quickly grasp complex technical issues

Appetite to learn new technologies and constantly improve technical skills

Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization

Professional and strong interpersonal approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

Job Description

• ServiceNow Certifications and experience in IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Configuration Management (CMDB), and an IT Service Management background (ITSM)
• Expert level CMDB, with accreditations / certifications in ServiceNow System Administrator and products such as Discovery, Service Mapping and ITOM are preferred
• ServiceNow experience with discovery, service mapping and configuration management (CMDB) is required
• Design, develop, build and configure ServiceNow CMDB to provide and support Infrastructure configuration items
• Ensure the integration and support of the Configuration Management process to the other ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, Change and Release
• Plan, manage and control the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure the accuracy of the configuration data and proper reporting and status
• Continually improve the design, implementation and operation of the CMDB and overall process maturity, ensuring the proper resources and methods are enforced, as well as communications are maintained
• Work with various stakeholders and CI data owners to ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and all Configuration Items are up-to-date
• Conduct data quality analysis, provide recommendations to address data quality issues and manage the implementation of approved recommendations
• Manage Configuration item review attestations to ensure accuracy and completeness of undiscoverable configuration items maintained within the CMDB
• Responsible for the maintaining the integration to discovery systems, including automating the detection and identification of configuration items to popular the CMDB and maintain the integrity of the CMDB and discovery processes.
• Maintain the governance, policies and direction of the CMDB
• Establish ServiceNow Configuration database as the source of truth for CI information and ensure users and CPI processes have access to accurate, timely and actionable data.
• Apply standard methodologies for organizing and discovering complex infrastructure environments to place them with business services into the CMDB, making valuable contributions to ITSM processes, Service Owners and customers.
• Understand concepts of asset reconciliation; ensure asset to CI relationships, asset categorization, asset types and data rules
• Support the overall ITSM vision and working with other process managers to deliver consistent and predictable service management
• Manages the requirements for planning, organizing, and implementing enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions.
• Leads the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of major configuration changes from acquisition to termination.
• Oversees the effective implementation and use of the configuration management process, methodology, tools, procedures, and audit activities.
• Develops and publishes metrics to qualify and quantify configuration success; ensures that configuration practices are in compliance with standards.
• Ensures the accuracy and validity of the configuration database for content on assets, major infrastructure and platform components, system documentation and service components.
