We are seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure. This role is responsible for supporting enterprise connectivity across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud networking environments, ensuring seamless communication between systems, applications, and users. You will play a critical role in optimizing performance, strengthening security, and enabling scalability to support the organization's growth. Beyond day-to-day operations, this position focuses on engineering resilient network solutions, integrating next-generation technologies, monitoring performance, and proactively addressing issues before they impact business operations. Your expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancer and network monitoring tools will help safeguard critical systems, empower collaboration, and drive operational excellence. This position is eligible for remote/hybrid work. Requirements Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Education: (1) A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Certifications such as Cisco, Meraki, Microsoft, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network + are preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much person contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Technical Skills: Hands on experience with Cisco, Citrix, and other networking equipment. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, and QoS. Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools. Experience with cloud networking (Azure Virtual Network, or hybrid environments preferred.) Ability to create professional presentations using software (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.) Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Implement and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers to optimize performance and security. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime. Support cloud networking (Azure and hybrid environments) and integrate with on-premises infrastructure. Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures. Implement and manage network security controls, including intrusion detection/prevention, access control, and zero-trust principles. Collaborate with systems engineers, security teams, and vendors to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Conduct capacity planning and recommend upgrades to support organizational growth. Perform disaster recovery testing and ensure network resilience in alignment with business continuity plans. Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support during critical incidents or maintenance windows. Physical Requirements: During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, push, pull use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper and routinely lift and carry incidental items such as computers and printers weighing in excess of 40 pounds. Will occasionally stoop, kneel, and lift objects for the purpose of installing desktop software, cables, and networking materials. Salary Description Min: $27.65 Mid: $34.56 Max: $41.47
