Duties, Scope of Work, and/or Milestones
The role of Fire Department Support Programmer at the Combined Communications Center supports all functions of the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The current software used is provided by CentralSquare. Additional software used is provided by Priority Dispatch. There are several other interfaces that are fed data from the CentralSquare system. These include CAD2CAD to the ambulance franchises, Deccan for analysis to fire chiefs, Station Alerting for Locution to the fire stations, FireRMS to report on fire loss, FirstWatch and PDC Fusion.
This position will function as a Fire Department systems and processes support programmer responsible for day-to-day department's operation support, applications enhancement; the design, testing, and implementation of a department's reports writing needs. Technologies include MS SQL Server, Power BI, Crystal Reports.
Milestone Deliverables:
• Support Department's Report writing needs.
• Create and deliver appropriate technical documentation to project needs throughout development process.
• Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by actively participating as a member of the team in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
• Communicate development roadblocks to development team within 24 hours of determination.
• Reporting requests include monthly CAD exports and Auto Aid reports as well as reporting to rural fire chiefs.
• Responsible for scheduling system upgrades with the vendors CentralSquare and Priority Dispatch
Daily/Weekly expectations:
• Day-to-day department's operational support dependent on project needs.
• Deliver weekly progress reports for development team code review.
• Analyze and correct technical issues as found, providing weekly bug status updates.
• Evaluate and recommend alternative application design solutions.
• Maintain and communicate status of work performed bi-weekly at minimum.
• Responsibilities include building units, stations, and response plans, modifying protocol, adding new users, monitoring system health and troubleshooting CAD issues and outages.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate Must Meet All Minimum Qualifications
Expert level/Minimum five (5) years' experience in:
CAD Administrator with knowledge of CentralSquare software.
MS SQL Server (T-SQL / Stored Procedures)
Power BI, Crystal Reports report writing

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Performs a variety of fundamental tasks under general supervision of a senior level engineer, involved in the installation, operations, testing and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems. Performs Operations and Maintenance on assigned Joint Data Network (JDNA)/Link 16 equipment.
The Joint Data Link Network Administrator (JDNA) is responsible to the Joint Interface Control Cell (JICC) watch officer, Joint Data Link Network Operations Officer (JDNO) and Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) for all system administrators matters for the JICC computer systems. The JDNA will coordinate with the appropriate computer activities and units to resolve all computer support issues for the JICC computers.
Assists the JDNO and JICO with the operation and maintenance of the JDN. Assists in the design, development, modification and analysis of Data Link (Link 16/Situational Awareness Data Link) hardware devices and/or systems
Configures and operates Link-16 host and auxiliary equipment such as Joint Range Extension (JRE), Link monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT), Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), Situational Awareness Data link (SADL) and Terminal Housing Case (THC).
Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
Diagnoses malfunctions in new and existing systems; makes improvements or modifications to produce desired results.
Performs system administration duties, including networking on Unix/Linux equipment
Performs upgrades and installations to Windows 7/10 equipment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Engineering/Computer Sciences or other technical discipline or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 or more years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field.
Must have specific experience in the use of MS Office and Web enabled applications. Incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Employee is expected to routinely cross-fields in the completion of somewhat difficult and varied assignments. Must be capable of updating or repairing computer systems.
CompTIA Security+ Certification (will need to attain, if candidate does not currently hold, within six months of position acceptance). Must have a professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles, and a familiarity with related engineering fields. Must have a practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions. Must qualify for and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with possible SCI.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $77,000 to $110,000 annually.

Job Description Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas, NV based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking an iSeries/Power Systems Engineer to join our team.
The iSeries/Power Systems Engineer role is to install, manage, and support hardware and software components, while troubleshooting and maintaining IBM iSeries and Power Systems that support key business applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in management information systems (MIS), a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other licenses or certifications required by law or company policy.
Technical certifications (e.g., IBM System Administration 7.1 or higher) are preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in iSeries/Power Systems administration.
Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience with iSeries/Power Systems tools and applications, including access control, utilities, security, and auditing systems such as IBM Client Access, Director, Navigator, BRMS, iSecurity, Help Systems, abs Message, or similar platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer, maintain and support iSeries/Power Systems hardware and software.
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on iSeries / Power Systems. Escalate incidents as necessary.
Manage incoming service request and incidents through the Help Desk Ticketing System as related to iSeries / Power Systems activities.
Interact with vendors, peers, and contractors to ensure secure, reliable systems implementations and upgrades are performed within project parameters.
Monitor iSeries / Power System File systems shares and permissions.
Monitor system performance, deliver system performance statistics and reports. Document server software and hardware configurations.
Plan and implement software and hardware upgrades, patches (PTFs) and repairs.
Ensure system backups are solvent and validated regularly as part of a disaster recovery.
Maintain a proper test environment that reflects production issues.
Safety is an essential function of this job.
Consistent and regular attendance including on-call availability on a rotational basis is an essential function of this job.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

ENTEK is seeking applications for a Systems Engineer to join us on-site at our Henderson, Nevada location (relocation within 40 miles of Henderson required).
As a System Engineer, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our systems are running at peak performance, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency. In this senior-level role, you'll take on the challenge of managing servers, storage systems, virtualization environments, and cloud platforms. You will be responsible for maintaining high availability, performing upgrades, troubleshooting, and providing top-tier support across various systems.
In addition to daily system management tasks, this position involves leading complex IT projects, ensuring system security, and implementing best practices for infrastructure management. You may mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient IT solutions. This role demands strong technical expertise, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting broader team goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and Maintain IT Infrastructure: Oversee the administration of servers, storage systems, virtualization environments, and cloud platforms to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
Incident Response: Ensure the continuous operations of critical systems, perform proactive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve outages promptly.
System Upgrade and Patching: Plan, coordinate, and implement system upgrades, patches, and updates to maintain the integrity and security of all IT systems.
Scripting & Automation: Build out scripts in languages like PowerShell & Bash to improve system operations and incident response time
Mentor & Develop: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior system administrators to help them grow and improve their technical skills.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with other Infrastructure members and Stakeholders to deliver efficient IT solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Security Compliance: Implement and maintain best practices for infrastructure security, ensuring that systems adhere to compliance requirements and are protected against vulnerabilities.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain Comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and projects to ensure clarity and continuity for the IT team.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5-7 years of experience in system administration or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex issues and projects.
Strong knowledge of Server Administration, Windows, Linux, and Azure Environment.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and handle complex system challenges.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience managing system projects and working collaboratively across teams to achieve IT Infrastructure objectives.
Satisfactory results from a pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Veeam Backup, Manage Engine Service Desk, Autodesk Suite, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
Working Environment
The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m. On-call and after-hours availability may be occasionally required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Incumbents will complete tasks that require finger dexterity, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and vision abilities, including near/far, color, and focusing.
