Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support Radiology and Cardiology PACS systems
Manage daily PACS operations including configuration, user access, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
Support clinical imaging workflows and DICOM connectivity
Act as a Tier III escalation resource for junior PACS administrators
Mentor and support team members with issue resolution and best practices
Work with IT teams on the technology side of PACS, including systems architecture, databases, and networking concepts
Support the enterprise transition to a single PACS platform (Sectra), migrating from disparate legacy systems
Partner with vendors, clinicians, and imaging leadership
Participate in on-call rotation as part of the PACS team
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Key Skills; Hands-on PACS Administration (Radiology-focused)
Strong understanding of clinical imaging workflows
PACS technology stack knowledge (systems, databases, networking fundamentals)
5-7 years of hands-on PACS administration experience
Strong experience supporting Radiology imaging workflows
Working knowledge of PACS architecture, systems, databases, and networking fundamentals
Experience acting as an escalation point within a PACS or imaging systems team
Ability to work onsite in the Portland area, especially during initial onboarding

Position Summary

This system is based on-board the Pacific Tracker currently berthed in Portland, OR. This engineer will join our growing team that provides range support services for ballistic and hypersonic test missions for DoD and NASA. We cover mission planning, networks and systems engineering, telemetry, radar tracking and imaging, data and voice communications, logistics, and cybersecurity aspects of missile testing at ranges all over the world.
The engineer in this position will operate and maintain the XTR-1 radar system and subsystems to meet mission requirements. Candidate will work with various customer organizations to understand mission requirements and the XTR-1 system's impact to the mission. As the primary caretaker of the radar system, candidate will be with the system during all test events and work on-board the Pacific Tracker while the ship is in port. Trip durations are dependent on customer test mission, that are typically scheduled well in advance but subject to modifications on short notice. The standard trips last between 2 and 4 weeks. Total trips per year are also dependent on customer schedules, and average between 4 and 8.
Responsibilities will include:
Operate and maintain ship-borne multi-band radar system and subsystems; including high-powered transmitters, receivers, modulators, timing and control systems, cooling systems, antenna hardware and associated interconnects
Perform daily calibrations and systems testing ensuring the radar remains mission capable

Candidate will work with various customer organizations to understand mission requirements and the XTR-1 system's impact to the mission. As the primary caretaker of the radar system, candidate will be with the system during all test events and work on-board the Pacific Tracker while the ship is in port. Trip durations are dependent on customer test mission, that are typically scheduled well in advance but subject to modifications on short notice. The standard trips last between 2 and 4 weeks. **Impact:**
Architect and operationalize AI infrastructure as a core component of Cisco Data Fabric, enabling engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities across the world's largest, most diverse data sets. Design MLOps platforms that solve complex lifecycle challenges-managing embedding model migrations, version compatibility, and continuous model updates-while ensuring operational excellence through monitoring, governance, and serving at petabyte scale. **Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 15+ years of related experience; or Master's with 12+ years; or PhD with 8+ years or equivalent experience
+ Designed and deployed AI/ML infrastructure and features in production cloud environments
+ Experience with major AI services including OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar platforms
+ Production experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platform
+ Led technical decisions and architectural direction across engineering organizations of 50+ engineers
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with LLM-specific infrastructure including agent frameworks, prompt management, and tool integration
+ Model serving at scale with experience in inference optimization and performance monitoring
+ Designed and deployed AI/ML infrastructure for on-premises environments

The starting salary range posted for this position is $267,600.00 to $339,400.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.
Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:
+ 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
+ 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
+ Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
+ Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
+ 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
+ Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
+ Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
